Brief:
Easy t' build kit with plastic nose cone, matey, die-cut balsa fins, and 12" parachute.

Construction:

  • 1 - 9" BT-50 Body Tube
  • 1 - Plastic Nose Cone
  • 1 - 18mm Engine Tube
  • 1 - Engine Hook
  • 2 - Centerin' Rings
  • 1 - 18mm Engine Block
  • 3 - Balsa Fins
  • 1 - 12" Plastic Parachute
  • 1 - Elastic Shock Cord
  • 1 - 1/8" ID Launch Lug
  • 1 - Wrap Decal
  • 1 - Paper Shock Cord Mount

This kit was easy t' build. T' instructions were easy t' follow. No special tools were needed. Just glue, a hobby knife, a ruler, matey, pencil and angle iron. Well, blow me down! I did use a hot glue cannon for t' shock cord mount.

Finishing:
T' finishin' be simple. Aye aye! Begad! I just sanded, matey, matey, primed and painted t' finished rocket. Avast! Arrr! I painted it t' suggested blue color.

T' Zero Gravity decal wrap was easy t' apply and looked great. It was good quality vinyl like a bumper sticker. Well, shiver me timbers, blow me down! Blimey!

I would have given it a 5 if t' Custom parachute had been pre-assembled. Aye aye! I guess I have been spoiled by Estes parachutes.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight:
I flew t' rocket 3 time on A8-3 motors. Avast! I highly recommend this motor size for small fields. T' rocket flew straight and landed close even though t' wind be blowing.

I would have tried a B6-4 if t' wind was nay as strong and if t' field was larger.

Recovery:
T' shock worked well. Ahoy! And dog barf worked excellent for replacin' wadding. Begad! Avast! All flights were recovered close t' t' pad with no damage.

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
Overall, it is a great, simple kit t' build. I would recommend this rocket if you are looking for an easy t' build rocket kit that looks good and flies great.

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5
