Brief:
A retro boost glider that was purchased for me by me nephew and niece for me birthday. Ahoy! This be t' first model
rocket that I have built since I had a stroke--and it proved a bit o' a challenge.
Construction:
T' kit comes in a bag and contains:
T' balsa was light, me bucko, ya bilge rat, strong, and very good quality.
One o' t' problems that I have had since me stroke is that I find it difficult t' read and understand what I have just read. Well, blow me down! Also, arrr, diagrams are hard t' follow. I see things drawn in 3D as 2D. Havin' said that, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, this be a well laid out set o' instructions with good diagrams. Begad! Blimey! T' only mistake that I made be that I could nay "see" the dihedral on t' wings and glued then in flat. Ya scallywag! My brother took them off later and reset them.
Finishing:
I have only flown her naked so far so thar has been no finishin' yet.

Flight and Recovery:
T' first flight was on a A8-3. She boosted straight and high. Avast, me proud beauty! At ejection, ya bilge rat, t' Hawk flipped in t' air and nose
dived in fast. Avast, me proud beauty! I had nay glued t' nose cone in! (I had read t' part about nay gluin' it in and nay gotten t' part
about gluin' it in!) However, matey, t' glider be undamaged and I found t' nose cone.
After a quick field repair, shiver me timbers, t' second flight be made, again on a A8-3. At ejection, t' rocket split it two; both parts came tumblin' down.
When I got both parts back, it was clear that t' balsa had failed and nay t' glued seams. Ya scallywag! I'll repair her and I'll add a hole in t' motor mount t' vent some o' t' gases from t' Estes shot cannon ejection charge.
