This model features an interchangeable motor can that has four configurations hence t' "Mod" part o' t' name:

1. Arrr! Blimey! 13mm (Estes mini or "T" engines) times 2

2. Blimey! Ahoy! 13mm times 3

3. Well, blow me down! Blimey! 18mm times 1

4. Begad! 24mm times 1

T' glider features all swept elliptical surfaces hence the "liptical" part o' t' name. Blimey!

T' pod breaks in t' middle and is recovered with a

1 1/2" X 6' streamer. Begad! Ya scallywag!

02/24/98 Launched on 2 ea. Begad! Ya scallywag! A3-4T's. Ya scallywag! Good flight, ejection/separation, a touch o' stallin' durin' glide. Ya scallywag! Added weight t' nose before next launch. Blimey!

04/11/98Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Begad! Good flight, ejection/separation, and glide. Aye aye! Well, me bucko, blow me down!

04/11/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Ahoy! One engine did nay light, ya bilge rat, but though it had uneven thrust, it still logged a good flight with a little bit of an arc t' it. Well, blow me down!

04/11/98 Launched on a C6-5. Avast! Quick, high boost with *very* long glide time. Begad! Ahoy! (did nay have a stopwatch though)

04/11/98 Launched on a D12-5. Ya scallywag! Well, blow me down! I thought t' C flight was fast, but boy howdy, this one really rocked! Very quick, high flight and t' glider seemed t' hang in t' air forever. Arrr! Arrr! It took me about 45 minutes t' find the model. Ahoy! Thank goodness for fluorescent orange paint!

04/18/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Arrr! Good boost, but t' Keelhaul®©™® shock line got tangled up in t' fuselage behind t' win' for a Red Barron. Well, blow me down! Blimey! No damage to t' model.

04/18/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Well, blow me down! Good straight boost, ya bilge rat, flawless ejection/separation, me bucko, and good glide. Ya scallywag! Arrr!

05/02/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Ya scallywag! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! Good boost, ya bilge rat, perfect ejection/separation, and good glide. Blimey!

05/09/98 Launched on a C6-5. Avast, me proud beauty! Good boost, shiver me timbers, me hearties, but then strange things happened. Avast! It first appeared that t' shock line had become entangled in the fuselage, me hearties, but then t' pieces untangled and t' glider came in at an extreme (about 45 degree) angle. Avast, me proud beauty! It buried t' nose end o' t' glider into t' soft dirt about 1/2". Aye aye! Upon inspection o' t' glider, arrr, thar was a piece of recovery waddin' (Estes type) clingin' t' one o' t' wings near t' fuselage. Avast, me proud beauty!
