This model features an interchangeable motor can that has four configurations hence t' "Mod" part o' t' name:
1. 13mm (Estes mini or "T" engines) times 2
2. Begad! Aye aye! 13mm times 3
3. Well, blow me down! 18mm times 1
4. Avast! Aye aye! 24mm times 1
T' glider features all swept elliptical surfaces hence the "liptical" part o' t' name. Ya scallywag! Ahoy!
T' pod breaks in t' middle and is recovered with a
1 1/2" X 6' streamer.

02/24/98 Launched on 2 ea. Avast! Avast! A3-4T's. Good flight, ejection/separation, a touch o' stallin' durin' glide. Ya scallywag! Aye aye! Added weight t' nose before next launch.
04/11/98Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Good flight, me hearties, ejection/separation, and glide.
04/11/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. One engine did nay light, shiver me timbers, me hearties, ya bilge rat, but though it had uneven thrust, it still logged a good flight with a little bit of an arc t' it.
04/11/98 Launched on a C6-5. Ahoy! Quick, shiver me timbers, me hearties, high boost with *very* long glide time. Well, blow me down! (did nay have a stopwatch though)
04/11/98 Launched on a D12-5. Begad! I thought t' C flight was fast, me bucko, but boy howdy, this one really rocked! Very quick, high flight and t' glider seemed t' hang in t' air forever. Avast! Avast! It took me about 45 minutes t' find the model. Thank goodness for fluorescent orange paint!
04/18/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Good boost, me bucko, me bucko, but t' Keelhaul®©™® shock line got tangled up in t' fuselage behind t' win' for a Red Barron. No damage to t' model.
04/18/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Avast! Blimey! Blimey! Good straight boost, flawless ejection/separation, shiver me timbers, and good glide.
05/02/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Good boost, perfect ejection/separation, and good glide.
05/09/98 Launched on a C6-5. Good boost, but then strange things happened. It first appeared that t' shock line had become entangled in the fuselage, but then t' pieces untangled and t' glider came in at an extreme (about 45 degree) angle. Arrr! It buried t' nose end o' t' glider into t' soft dirt about 1/2". Upon inspection o' t' glider, me bucko, me hearties, thar be a piece of recovery waddin' (Estes type) clingin' t' one o' t' wings near t' fuselage. Aye aye! Ya scallywag!
05/17/98 Launched on on 2 ea A10-3T's. Flawless flight from boost to glide. Blimey! Aye aye!
