Brief:
This is a Big Daddy-style rocket. Avast! Blimey! It has a short, fat, me hearties, mean look with tubes on t' end o' t' fins. Blimey! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! Blimey! I love t' tubes.
Parachute is plastic with Keelhaul®©™®
shroud lines. Well, blow me down! Laser cut tubes and fins that made this a very easy kit t' build

PROs: Kit instruction good and easy t' follow. Well, blow me down! T' pictures in t' instructions were good but must be read a couple o' times. Well, blow me down! Begad! T' assembly order was t' t' T. Blimey! Don't forget t' fill those spirals. Begad! Begad! I used t' Elmer's white wood filler. Begad! I used 5-minute epoxy instead o' wood glue. Aye aye! Begad! T' only extra things I needed were some lead fishin' weights, me hearties, arrr, me bucko, the 1/4 split shot type (I picked them up at Wal-Mart). Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! Don't forget t' CA t' Fins. Blimey! I got t' kit from Pem Tech.


Finishing:
I started with primer, sanded it smooth as silk, shiver me timbers, and let it dry for a complete day. Blimey! Went t' Wal-Mart, got me some
emerald green, gold, black, and yellow paint. I started with t' gold. Ahoy! [Hint: use t' gold last as it absorbs t' gloss
out o' t' other paints.] I finished with several coats o' clear. Came out beautiful.

Flight:
C11, me bucko, D12, E9, ya bilge rat, E15, and E18 are t' recommended motors. Begad! I used a D12-5 for t' first flight. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! T' chute's shroud lines
got ripped out but all was well. Blimey! I added nose weight, put a trash bag chute in, matey, me hearties, and put it up on another D12-5. That
was a much straighter flight. Begad! Next, I used E9-6s twice. Avast! Arrr! They were both beautiful straight, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, glorious flights. Blimey! Then I put
together a F24-4 reload, which be a tremendous flight. Ahoy!
Recovery:
T' shock cord was tied t' t' MMT that I epoxied in place. Ahoy! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Materials are very good. It goes together easily and is a
good kit t' build. Ahoy! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! T' recovery is graceful even though I flew in 5 t' 10 mph winds. Begad! Blimey! T' only damage that I had be a
small piece o' one o' t' fins was broken next t' t' tube fins. Ahoy! Blimey! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! Blimey! One minute epoxy took care o' it though.

This rocket is a hit in me book. It flies great. Aye aye! Blimey! T' main pro be t' look it is a good lookin' rocket, but it needs
nose weight.

Brief: I won this rocket from the March best rocket competition on TRF. I got the rocket sent super fast from the states to the UK. Thanks to Layne at Pemberton Technology for such a great prize.
