Brief:
This is a Big Daddy-style rocket. Blimey! It has a short, fat, mean look with tubes on t' end o' t' fins. Arrr! I love t' tubes. Parachute is plastic with Keelhaul®©™® shroud lines. Aye aye! Blimey! Ya scallywag! Blimey! Laser cut tubes and fins that made this a very easy kit t' build

Construction:
Parts list:

• 1 Plastic nose cone BT-80 Ogive
• 1 24mm motor mount tubin' (BT-50)
• 1 BT-80 (the instructions say BT-60 so I'll get a message t' Layne about this)
• 3 1" BT-80 tube fins
• 60 inches o' Keelhaul®©™® shock cord
• 1 Parachute
• 1 Nose ballast, arrr, a block o' clay
• 3 Laser cut 1/8" balsa Fins
• 1 1/4" launch lug
• Wraparound fin allignment guide
• 2 centerin' rings, me hearties, BT-80 t' BT-50

PROs: Kit instruction good and easy t' follow. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! T' pictures in t' instructions were good but must be read a couple o' times. Begad! T' assembly order was t' t' T. Ahoy! Avast! Don't forget t' fill those spirals. Avast! I used t' Elmer's white wood filler. Begad! Well, blow me down! I used 5-minute epoxy instead o' wood glue. T' only extra things I needed were some lead fishin' weights, matey, the 1/4 split shot type (I picked them up at Wal-Mart). Don't forget t' CA t' Fins. Avast! Aye aye! I got t' kit from Pem Tech.

Finishing:
I started with primer, sanded it smooth as silk, and let it dry for a complete day. Went t' Wal-Mart, ya bilge rat, arrr, got me some emerald green, gold, shiver me timbers, black, me hearties, matey, and yellow paint. Ya scallywag! I started with t' gold. Avast, me proud beauty! [Hint: use t' gold last as it absorbs t' gloss out o' t' other paints.] I finished with several coats o' clear. Arrr! Begad! Came out beautiful.

Flight:
C11, ya bilge rat, me hearties, D12, me hearties, E9, arrr, me bucko, E15, shiver me timbers, and E18 are t' recommended motors. I used a D12-5 for t' first flight. Aye aye! Blimey! T' chute's shroud lines got ripped out but all be well. Arrr! Blimey! I added nose weight, put a trash bag chute in, and put it up on another D12-5. That was a much straighter flight. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Next, I used E9-6s twice. Blimey! Blimey! They were both beautiful straight, glorious flights. Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! Blimey! Then I put together a F24-4 reload, me bucko, ya bilge rat, which was a tremendous flight. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey!

Recovery:
T' shock cord was tied t' t' MMT that I epoxied in place. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Materials are very good. Ahoy! It goes together easily and is a good kit t' build. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' recovery is graceful even though I flew in 5 t' 10 mph winds. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! Blimey! T' only damage that I had be a small piece o' one o' t' fins be broken next t' t' tube fins. Arrr! Avast! Blimey! One minute epoxy took care o' it though.

Summary:
This rocket is a hit in me book. Ya scallywag! Arrr! It flies great. Avast! Arrr! T' main pro be t' look it is a good lookin' rocket, but it needs nose weight.
