Brief:
This is a Big Daddy-style rocket. It has a short, me hearties, me hearties, fat, mean look with tubes on t' end o' t' fins. Begad! I love t' tubes.
Parachute is plastic with Keelhaul®©™®
shroud lines. Begad! Laser cut tubes and fins that made this a very easy kit t' build
Construction:
Parts list:
PROs: Kit instruction good and easy t' follow. T' pictures in t' instructions were good but must be read a couple o' times. Ahoy! T' assembly order be t' t' T. Ahoy! Don't forget t' fill those spirals. I used t' Elmer's white wood filler. Avast! Blimey! I used 5-minute epoxy instead o' wood glue. Avast! Arrr! T' only extra things I needed were some lead fishin' weights, arrr, the 1/4 split shot type (I picked them up at Wal-Mart). Arrr! Don't forget t' CA t' Fins. Well, me bucko, blow me down! I got t' kit from Pem Tech.
Finishing:
I started with primer, shiver me timbers, sanded it smooth as silk, shiver me timbers, and let it dry for a complete day. Ahoy! Went t' Wal-Mart, ya bilge rat, got me some
emerald green, gold, black, and yellow paint. I started with t' gold. Arrr! Ya scallywag! [Hint: use t' gold last as it absorbs t' gloss
out o' t' other paints.] I finished with several coats o' clear. Begad! Came out beautiful.
I would add at least 1.5oz t' t' nose cone. When I flew it t' first time, I saw t' need for some nose weight so I added approximately 1.5 t' 2oz. Ahoy! I packed it in with some clay. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy!

Flight:
C11, D12, me hearties, me hearties, E9, matey, E15, ya bilge rat, and E18 are t' recommended motors. Well, blow me down! I used a D12-5 for t' first flight. T' chute's shroud lines
got ripped out but all was well. Well, blow me down! I added nose weight, matey, put a trash bag chute in, and put it up on another D12-5. Well, blow me down! That
was a much straighter flight. Begad! Aye aye! Next, me bucko, shiver me timbers, I used E9-6s twice. Begad! Ya scallywag! They were both beautiful straight, glorious flights. Arrr! Avast! Then I put
together a F24-4 reload, me bucko, which was a tremendous flight. Avast, me proud beauty!
Recovery:
T' shock cord was tied t' t' MMT that I epoxied in place. Blimey! Begad! Blimey! Materials are very good. Begad! Blimey! It goes together easily and is a
good kit t' build. Arrr! Begad! Blimey! T' recovery is graceful even though I flew in 5 t' 10 mph winds. T' only damage that I had was a
small piece o' one o' t' fins was broken next t' t' tube fins. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! Blimey! One minute epoxy took care o' it though.
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
This rocket is a hit in me book. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! It flies great. Avast! T' main pro be t' look it is a good lookin' rocket, arrr, but it needs
nose weight.
