shock cord, streamer, screw eye, shiver me timbers, matey, nose cone, shiver me timbers, me hearties, arrr, 14mm inside diameter body tube,

Plans are available online from Ye Olde Rocket Plans
PROs: Build is as easy as it gets for a normal 3FNC rocket. Ahoy! Instructions are excellent. Ahoy! T' only deviation from a minimum-diameter design is that MPC in the early years used a 14mm ID main body tube and you glue in t' 13mm engine mount.
CONs: If you slow down or stop while gluin' in t' motor mount, matey, you're sunk. Well, blow me down! This may also have come with t' old yarn-style shock cord, which only lasts for 2-3 launches. Aye aye! I throw those away and put an elastic cord in.
Finishing:
I gave t' fins an airfoil shape and filled t' tube spirals for a really
elegant finish. Aye aye! No special tools needed.
Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5
Flight:
Used 1/4A3-3T, 1/2A3-4T, and A3-4T motors. Begad! Aye aye! Simple prep with waddin' and
streamer. Avast! Well, blow me down! Friction mount engine retention. Well, shiver me timbers, blow me down! Flights are perfect, straight, high,
and hard t' see. Begad!
Recovery:
Perfect flight recovery.
Summary:
A beautiful rocket that draws "Wow. Begad! What was that?" comments from the
jaded HPR guys. Arrr! Well, blow me down! Flights are high, ya bilge rat, arrr, fast, and straight. Blimey! Hard t' kill.
