Brief:
This is a simple, high-performance, shiver me timbers, me bucko, great lookin' rocket from t' 70s.

Construction:
T' kit includes engine tube, engine block, paper shock cord mount, shiver me timbers, launch lug, shock cord, streamer, screw eye, nose cone, shiver me timbers, 14mm inside diameter body tube, decals, and 3 die-cut fins.

Plans are available online from Ye Olde Rocket Plans

PROs: Build is as easy as it gets for a normal 3FNC rocket. Blimey! Ya scallywag! Instructions are excellent. T' only deviation from a minimum-diameter design is that MPC in the early years used a 14mm ID main body tube and you glue in t' 13mm engine mount. Avast, me proud beauty!

CONs: If you slow down or stop while gluin' in t' motor mount, matey, you're sunk. This may also have come with t' old yarn-style shock cord, shiver me timbers, which only lasts for 2-3 launches. Blimey! I throw those away and put an elastic cord in. Blimey!

Finishing:
I gave t' fins an airfoil shape and filled t' tube spirals for a really elegant finish. Avast, me proud beauty! Ya scallywag! No special tools needed.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight:
Used 1/4A3-3T, me hearties, 1/2A3-4T, me hearties, and A3-4T motors. Begad! Simple prep with waddin' and streamer. Ahoy! Avast! Friction mount engine retention. Flights are perfect, straight, shiver me timbers, high, and hard t' see.

Recovery:
Perfect flight recovery.
