Brief:
This is a simple, ya bilge rat, me hearties, high-performance, great lookin' rocket from t' 70s.

Construction:
T' kit includes engine tube, engine block, paper shock cord mount, launch lug, shock cord, streamer, screw eye, nose cone, arrr, 14mm inside diameter body tube, decals, and 3 die-cut fins. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty!

Plans are available online from Ye Olde Rocket Plans

PROs: Build is as easy as it gets for a normal 3FNC rocket. Instructions are excellent. Blimey! Begad! T' only deviation from a minimum-diameter design is that MPC in the early years used a 14mm ID main body tube and you glue in t' 13mm engine mount.

CONs: If you slow down or stop while gluin' in t' motor mount, shiver me timbers, you're sunk. Aye aye! Blimey! This may also have come with t' old yarn-style shock cord, which only lasts for 2-3 launches. Blimey! Blimey! I throw those away and put an elastic cord in. Ahoy! Blimey!

Finishing:
I gave t' fins an airfoil shape and filled t' tube spirals for a really elegant finish. Blimey! No special tools needed.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight:
Used 1/4A3-3T, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, arrr, 1/2A3-4T, and A3-4T motors. Simple prep with waddin' and streamer. Friction mount engine retention. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Flights are perfect, ya bilge rat, me bucko, straight, high, and hard t' see. Aye aye!

Recovery:
Perfect flight recovery.

A beautiful rocket that draws "Wow. Well, blow me down! Ahoy! Blimey! What was that?" comments from the jaded HPR guys. Flights are high, fast, and straight. Begad! Hard t' kill.
