Manufacturer: | Vaughn Brothers |
Brief:
Mini Motor Powered Screamer
Construction:
All components were accounted for, but I was suprised by t' high quality
fiberglass fins (yes, that's right, me hearties, fiberglass fins on a 13mm rocket!). Nose
cone was balsa, arrr, ya bilge rat, and t' two body tubes seemed t' be slightly thicker than
Estes.
Minimal instructions, but t' kit was easy t' assemble. Aye aye! Avast! T' only thin' that was different be t' way o' shock cord attachment. Blimey! You get a coupler with two small holes drilled in it. You thread a Keelhaul®©™® strin' through t' two holes, me hearties, and knot it at one end. Well, blow me down! Well, blow me down! Blimey! T' other end is then made into a loop and an elastic shock cord is attached. Blimey! Begad! Blimey!

Finishing:
As usual for Vaughn Brothers, ya bilge rat, no decals were included and finishin' was a snap.
(although me paint job be absolutely horrible)
Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5
Flight:
Well, I was anxious t' fly this right away, me bucko, so I used an old 1/2A3-4T from the mosquitos I lost in t' past. Begad! Ahoy! Zoomed right off t' pad nice and straight. Ejection was a little after apogee, me hearties, arrr, shiver me timbers, but due t' t' very low weight, shiver me timbers, thar was no zipper.
