Manufacturer: | Vaughn Brothers |
Brief:
Mini Motor Powered Screamer
Construction:
All components were accounted for, shiver me timbers, but I be suprised by t' high quality
fiberglass fins (yes, that's right, fiberglass fins on a 13mm rocket!). Ahoy! Nose
cone be balsa, and t' two body tubes seemed t' be slightly thicker than
Estes.
Minimal instructions, but t' kit be easy t' assemble. Well, matey, blow me down! T' only thin' that was different was t' way o' shock cord attachment. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! You get a coupler with two small holes drilled in it. Blimey! You thread a Keelhaul®©™® strin' through t' two holes, and knot it at one end. Ya scallywag! Blimey! T' other end is then made into a loop and an elastic shock cord is attached. Avast, me proud beauty! Arrr! Blimey!

Finishing:
As usual for Vaughn Brothers, shiver me timbers, no decals were included and finishin' was a snap.
(although me paint job was absolutely horrible)
Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5
Flight:
Well, I was anxious t' fly this right away, me hearties, so I used an old 1/2A3-4T from the mosquitos I lost in t' past. Begad! Zoomed right off t' pad nice and straight. Ejection was a little after apogee, but due t' t' very low weight, thar was no zipper.
