Brief:

A very simple rocket that is capable o' EXTREME spinning! This review is for t' super scimitar.

Construction:
My Scimi (yes i call scimi, prnounced like semi) is florecent red but looks more like some shade o' orange. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Avast! Blimey! Still happy. Blimey! Blimey! It comes printed on two sheets o' cardstock and can be built in less than an hour. Well, arrr, blow me down! Blimey! I ordered it along with a Green Stealth. You choose your color.

T' intructions are very clear. Blimey! Ahoy! There are three pages: two focusin' on contruction and one on flight prep. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! T' rocket is very simple. You can choose t' either make it fly on 18mm or 24mm motors. Avast! There are only three parts t' cut out: t' top, shiver me timbers, arrr, bottom and motor mount. Begad! T' first step is choosin' t' 18mm or 24mm mount. Begad! I chose 18mm. Avast, me proud beauty! You cut on t' lines guidin' for each size. Aye aye! For t' top and bottom, ya bilge rat, I would recommend usin' scissors instead o' a knife. Ahoy! Once t' top is cut, you score t' dashed (fold) lines and then fold t' top so that t' printed side is inside t' body. Then you cut out t' bottom section and glue it in, me hearties, makin' sure that launch rod holes line up. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! Then you form and glue in t' motor mount. Begad! Done. Well, blow me down! Blimey! It is so simple.

PROS: fast, easy construction, me bucko, clear instructions, ya bilge rat, choice o' either 24mm or 18mm mounts, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, fast customer service from art.
CONS: none noted.

Finishing:
T' card stock comes pre-colored unless you choose white. Avast! Art reccomends puttin' on some clear coat, but I passed.

Flight:
T' scimitar was flown t' same night about two hours after constuction. Avast! T' plan for t' night was t' use one pack (three) o' motors. Avast! Flight prep is super quick: Insert motor, addin' maskin' tape if needed, then insert ignitor and put 'er on t' pad. Avast, me proud beauty! Art says you should put a ball o' waddin' in t' open end o' t' motor held with maskin' tape t' prevent burning. Ahoy! An Estes C6-3 was used. After pressin' t' button, me bucko, Scimi lifted and about 5 feet from t' ground started spinnin' like a helicopter!!! IT WAS INSANE!!!! SO COOL!!! T' C-engine seemed t' burn longer than usual which doubled t' cool factor.

Recovery:
After burn-out, me bucko, me hearties, Scimi went about 5 more feet and flipped over. Ahoy! About a second later t' ejection popped and Scimi be still spinnin' when she hit t' ground. Blimey! Landed about 30 feet from pad. Well, blow me down! Flight be about 100 feet in altitude. Begad! Perfect.

Summary:
This is a great value for just $6. Blimey! You get t' option t' build two motor sizes in one rocket and get INSANE flights. Blimey! On a scale o' 1 t' 10 on coolness factor, me bucko, it gets a 10. Aye aye! Two thumbs up. Begad! Blimey! And t' fact that it builds in less than an hour and needs no finish be t' icin' on t' cake.
