Brief:

A very simple rocket that is capable o' EXTREME spinning! This review is for t' super scimitar.

Construction:
My Scimi (yes i call scimi, shiver me timbers, prnounced like semi) is florecent red but looks more like some shade o' orange. Avast! Ahoy! Still happy. Aye aye! It comes printed on two sheets o' cardstock and can be built in less than an hour. Aye aye! Ahoy! I ordered it along with a Green Stealth. Begad! You choose your color.

T' intructions are very clear. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! There are three pages: two focusin' on contruction and one on flight prep. Ahoy! T' rocket is very simple. Arrr! You can choose t' either make it fly on 18mm or 24mm motors. There are only three parts t' cut out: t' top, me bucko, bottom and motor mount. T' first step is choosin' t' 18mm or 24mm mount. Begad! Blimey! I chose 18mm. Ya scallywag! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! You cut on t' lines guidin' for each size. For t' top and bottom, me bucko, matey, I would recommend usin' scissors instead o' a knife. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! Once t' top is cut, shiver me timbers, matey, you score t' dashed (fold) lines and then fold t' top so that t' printed side is inside t' body. Begad! Then you cut out t' bottom section and glue it in, arrr, makin' sure that launch rod holes line up. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! Then you form and glue in t' motor mount. Done. Arrr! It is so simple.

PROS: fast, me bucko, easy construction, clear instructions, arrr, ya bilge rat, matey, choice o' either 24mm or 18mm mounts, me bucko, ya bilge rat, fast customer service from art.
CONS: none noted.

Finishing:
T' card stock comes pre-colored unless you choose white. Blimey! Ya scallywag! Art reccomends puttin' on some clear coat, but I passed.

Flight:
T' scimitar was flown t' same night about two hours after constuction. Ya scallywag! T' plan for t' night was t' use one pack (three) o' motors. Ahoy! Flight prep is super quick: Insert motor, ya bilge rat, addin' maskin' tape if needed, then insert ignitor and put 'er on t' pad. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! Art says you should put a ball o' waddin' in t' open end o' t' motor held with maskin' tape t' prevent burning. Aye aye! An Estes C6-3 was used. Aye aye! After pressin' t' button, me hearties, Scimi lifted and about 5 feet from t' ground started spinnin' like a helicopter!!! IT WAS INSANE!!!! SO COOL!!! T' C-engine seemed t' burn longer than usual which doubled t' cool factor.

Recovery:
After burn-out, arrr, me bucko, Scimi went about 5 more feet and flipped over. Avast! About a second later t' ejection popped and Scimi was still spinnin' when she hit t' ground. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! Landed about 30 feet from pad. Flight be about 100 feet in altitude. Perfect.

Summary:
This is a great value for just $6. Aye aye! You get t' option t' build two motor sizes in one rocket and get INSANE flights. Ya scallywag! On a scale o' 1 t' 10 on coolness factor, arrr, it gets a 10. Aye aye! Two thumbs up. And t' fact that it builds in less than an hour and needs no finish be t' icin' on t' cake.
