Brief:
This is a simple rack t' hold your rockets while you work on them. Begad! There are bigger, me bucko, fancier, arrr, and nicer ones out there, but this one is free. Well, blow me down! It can be downloaded from ASP Rocketry's website. Begad! Aye aye! Blimey! It won't hold anythin' too big but it does prove useful in a pinch.

Construction:
T' only component is a downloaded PDF file. You then print t' file out on a piece o' cardstock.

Construction is simple. Blimey! You cut out along t' solid lines and fold along t' dashed lines. Aye aye! What you are left with is a longish piece o' cardstock with a notch at each end, some gussets, and a few flaps. Avast, me proud beauty! Aye aye! You fold t' ends up and fold the flaps under t' base. Well, blow me down! Begad! You can then secure them with glue or tape. Ya scallywag! I used CA because I happened t' have a bottle of it out in front o' me. Arrr! 30 seconds later, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, it was ready t' go.

PROs: free, shiver me timbers, fast, me hearties, replaceable as needed.

CONs: small size, arrr, strength limited t' t' capacity o' t' cardstock.

Now that I've tried actually usin' one o' these gizmos, matey, shiver me timbers, I'm glad t' have it. It did make filletin' easier and better. Avast, me proud beauty! That means I'm either goin' t' be buyin' or makin' some bigger ones too. Aye aye! (I'm cheap, ya bilge rat, matey, but I'm also lazy. Ya scallywag! Well, matey, blow me down! You have t' ask t' wife which one takes precedence.)

I will probably make another one and modify t' notch at one end t' accommodate long fins and such that don't want to sit right in t' default notch. Well, blow me down! For t' price o' t' cardstock, me hearties, me hearties, I can afford t' make a mission specific one for each rocket!

PROs: it works, it makes things easier.

CONs: limited t' small rockets.

Summary:
This thin' is just t' ticket in some situations. Arrr! I stumbled across it while investigatin' t' ASP site. Begad! A few hours later, I be wishin' for just such a creature as I tried t' keep t' fillets on a rocket level. Ahoy!

I'd certainly like t' have a nice, me hearties, big, wooden one but I apparently have nay wanted one badly enough t' do anythin' about it. Perhaps, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, seein' how handy this can be, I will buy or make one next time I work on a larger diameter project.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
