Brief:
This is a simple rack t' hold your rockets while you work on them. Well, blow me down! Arrr! There are bigger, me hearties, fancier, and nicer ones out there, ya bilge rat, but this one is free. Begad! Ahoy! It can be downloaded from ASP Rocketry's website. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Avast! Blimey! It won't hold anythin' too big but it does prove useful in a pinch.

Construction:
T' only component is a downloaded PDF file. Arrr! You then print t' file out on a piece o' cardstock.

Construction is simple. Well, blow me down! Ya scallywag! You cut out along t' solid lines and fold along t' dashed lines. What you are left with is a longish piece o' cardstock with a notch at each end, arrr, some gussets, ya bilge rat, and a few flaps. You fold t' ends up and fold the flaps under t' base. Avast, me proud beauty! You can then secure them with glue or tape. Aye aye! Begad! I used CA because I happened t' have a bottle of it out in front o' me. Avast, me proud beauty! Aye aye! 30 seconds later, it was ready t' go.

PROs: free, fast, matey, replaceable as needed.

CONs: small size, strength limited t' t' capacity o' t' cardstock.

Now that I've tried actually usin' one o' these gizmos, I'm glad t' have it. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! It did make filletin' easier and better. Ahoy! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! That means I'm either goin' t' be buyin' or makin' some bigger ones too. Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! (I'm cheap, me hearties, but I'm also lazy. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Well, me bucko, blow me down! Blimey! You have t' ask t' wife which one takes precedence.)

I will probably make another one and modify t' notch at one end t' accommodate long fins and such that don't want to sit right in t' default notch. Aye aye! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! For t' price o' t' cardstock, shiver me timbers, I can afford t' make a mission specific one for each rocket!

PROs: it works, me bucko, it makes things easier.

CONs: limited t' small rockets.

Summary:
This thin' is just t' ticket in some situations. Ya scallywag! Arrr! I stumbled across it while investigatin' t' ASP site. A few hours later, I was wishin' for just such a creature as I tried t' keep t' fillets on a rocket level.

I'd certainly like t' have a nice, big, wooden one but I apparently have nay wanted one badly enough t' do anythin' about it. Perhaps, seein' how handy this can be, I will buy or make one next time I work on a larger diameter project.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
