Brief
What a great group o' components. Blue tube is me new favorite medium for high power rocketry. Heavy duty and durable.
Components
Blue tube - 'nuff said
T' fins were cut very well, ya bilge rat, a bit o' sanding, sealing, arrr, and they were flight worthy.
Nose cone is o' good quality, minimal prep t' paint t' plastic nose cone
Construction
First experience workin' with blue tube, handles like cardboard, me bucko, shiver me timbers, me bucko, but much more robust - easier t' manipulate than fiberglass or composites.
Overall, matey, very pleased with all t' components
Finishing
I originally assembled, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, and flew nearly it 'naked' - quick splatter o' paint from a rattle can t' make it stand out against t' sky.
I have since, sanded, shiver me timbers, filled, arrr, shiver me timbers, primed and painted for a bit better look.
Very easy material t' work with.
Flight
First flight be over t' sound barrier and over t' mile marker. Aye aye! Blimey! Ejection chute recovery on t' big lake was picture perfect, me hearties, with a landin' nay too far from t' launch site. Begad! Blimey! Avast, arrr, me proud beauty! Blimey! Flew straight and true. Begad! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Very happy with t' components and build
Recovery
From just over a mile, ya bilge rat, it dropped as planned.
I am updated t' include a dual deployment - those long recoveries add too much angst o' losin' it on a thermal.
Summary
Great stuff. Ya scallywag! And workin' with Always Ready Rocketry was a pleasure.
