Brief
Very pleased with t' components, arrr, fairly comprehensive instructions.
Components
I ordered t' kit with t' fiberglass fins (as t' military version has sleek wings/fins).
Components were ready for assembly with very little prep.
Construction
My first high power build, a few lessons learned. Ahoy! But, overall it was a great kit t' learn on.
This kit has a piston ejection system, and a little research may have helped me ensure t' piston provided a zipper-free ejection. Well, blow me down! Nay t' worry... Ya scallywag! a little fiberglass and all is well.
Recommend a jig t' align t' wings/fins. I used painters tape, which worked, matey, but be very time consuming. Blimey! Well, me bucko, blow me down! Four sessions t' get t' fins/wings installed, filleted. Well, blow me down! Blimey!
Finishing
I could have spent more time fillin' in t' tube rings... Arrr! Arrr! but, me bucko, overall they were sufficiently filled with me low skill on finishing.
T' provided decals are fairly realistic... Arrr! although t' recommended paint schemes do nay mimic military markings o' a live or inert missile. Arrr! Nay t' worry... Ahoy! I did me best.
Flight
This thin' proved t' be a static display beauty. Many favorable comments by fellow rocketeers. Arrr! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! It looked great - and it flew even better.
T' straightest flyin' rocket I have ever built - I was concerned that t' forward wings make cause 'problems' - but as I said - it flew wonderfully
Recovery
T' first flight, was also me Level 1 flight. Begad! Begad! Straight as an arrow up; and as you know, ya bilge rat, you don't get certified till you recover t' bad boy and determine it's flight-worthiness.
Minor zipper due t' me inexperience with piston ejection... Ya scallywag! but it be easily repaired, matey, ya bilge rat, and deemed airworthy.
I highly recommend this t' be configured with dual deployment - much time, effort, and expense - only t' watch it drift over t' horizon...
Summary
This be me favorite rocket in me fleet. Well, blow me down! Unfortunately, it drifted into an unknown canyon at NARAM-56, ya bilge rat, near Pueblo, ya bilge rat, me bucko, arrr, CO. Well, matey, blow me down! I have yet t' locate it... Begad! dual deployment from this point forward!
