I saw this Kit at Allied Hobbies RTF ready t' Fly Minus Parachute as a Kit with Pad and engines etc..

Notes on Quest Products:

  • T' Parachutes [are terrible]
  • T' Launch Pads [are terrible]
  • T' Launch Controller is ... Blimey! Ok ... Arrr! Begad! and actually pretty cool
  • T' KITS are AWESOME!

[Rocket Pic]This kit is a Styrofoam model o' t' Enterprise E with small clear plastic fins for flight. With t' Enterprise I had t' build nothin' except t' parachute. Begad! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Modification here; I put a loop in their shock cord so I could use me own parachutes (I make one o' each size with snap swivels).

[Rocket Pic]T' first flight was pretty neat and rather straight with a little roll. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! It went up ejected and then I got worried. Blimey! Blimey! It be comin' down awfully slow. Aye aye! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! That little plastic "Nose Cone" has an awful lot o' nose weight in it and when I recovered it (undamaged) I found out what happened. Begad! Blimey! Ya scallywag! Blimey! T' HEAVY nose cone had separated! Blimey! It be NOT secured very. Aye aye! Blimey! Well I got lucky when another modeler huntin' for his rocket found me nose cone (would be pretty tuff t' replace).

I flew it again at NARAM-40 on a B6-4. Well, blow me down! Begad! A pretty low flight. Blimey! Begad! I would stick with t' C's.

I am also thinkin' if messin' with lettin' t' parachute and nose cone separate and possibly havin' glider recovery. Well, blow me down! Would be neat if its stable.

I would rate this a 4 out o' 5 for construction for horrible parachute and nay secured nose cone.

I would rate this a 4 out o' 5 for looks. I LOVE Star Trek, BUT t' decals are nay all placed on model and they tend t' come off after a few flights. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Blimey! (Annoying)

I would rate this a 5 out o' 5 for flight. Begad! Very stable and t' design is cool.
