Brief:
This is a comparison review o' Aerotechs new G79W, arrr, arrr, includin' t' new
29/120 RMS case.
Construction:
Although this product be introduced at LDRS 23 in July 2004, shiver me timbers, me casin' (S/N 037) has a manufacturin' date o' 1/8/02. Begad! Ahoy! This product was obviously in the works for a while. Well, blow me down! T' case is new and is nay interchangeable with the 29/40-120, but t' closures are t' same as those used with t' 29mm high power cases.
T' reload kit is a typical AT reload so I won't go into the details--liners, insulators, O-rings, two slugs, ya bilge rat, etc. Here is a comparison between t' G79 and t' G80:
G79 ¹ | G80 ² | |
Type | RMS | SU |
Total Impulse (N-sec) | 115 | 120 |
Burn Time (sec) | 1.5 | 1.5 |
Propellant Weight (g) | 58.6 | 57.4 |

Flight:
I have flown this twice...and I like it. Avast, me proud beauty! Lots o' white smoke like me beloved
G80FWLs. I do have two observations:
I will monitor T' Rocketry Forum t' see what other peoples experiences are.

Summary:
I am ecstatic about this product release. Well, blow me down! I love G80s and t' G79 is a lot
cheaper. (Not as cheap as $10 G80-FWLs from Magnum, shiver me timbers, me bucko, but those days are gone for
good.) In more good news, ya bilge rat, AT has promised Redline loads soon. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, me proud beauty! (I though I saw
Blue Thunder reloads too, but cannot find t' reference.)
