Brief:
Single Stage, matey, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long.
  • NoseCone: PNC-5.
  • Fins: 3, 1/16 Basswood. Aye aye!
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard. Ya scallywag! Blimey!
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Arrr! T' paintin' took a little longer, me bucko, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Aye aye! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, shiver me timbers, Hobbytown USA. Ahoy! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Redmond, me bucko, me hearties, matey, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. Begad! Begad! That be t' motor I used. Aye aye! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, t' rocket is small, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, arrr, matey, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Avast, matey, me proud beauty! Shock cord technique: Quest style, shiver me timbers, arrr, me hearties, tied off at t' motor mount. Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, T' only reason I say that is I be missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, inexpensive t' fly, me hearties, and it goes really high. Begad! Begad! CONs: None.
