Brief:
Single Stage, shiver me timbers, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long. Ya scallywag!
  • NoseCone: PNC-5.
  • Fins: 3, 1/16 Basswood.
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard. Ya scallywag! Arrr!
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Ya scallywag! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Begad! Begad! Blimey! T' paintin' took a little longer, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, ya bilge rat, me bucko, shiver me timbers, Hobbytown USA. Redmond, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. Ya scallywag! Arrr! That be t' motor I used. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, t' rocket is small, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Well, blow me down! Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, me hearties, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! Shock cord technique: Quest style, arrr, tied off at t' motor mount. Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, arrr, T' only reason I say that is I be missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, inexpensive t' fly, and it goes really high. Ahoy! CONs: None.
