Brief:
Single Stage, me bucko, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long. Well, ya bilge rat, blow me down! Blimey!
  • NoseCone: PNC-5. Blimey! Blimey!
  • Fins: 3, arrr, 1/16 Basswood.
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard. Well, blow me down! Blimey!
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Well, arrr, blow me down! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Begad! Begad! T' paintin' took a little longer, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Avast, me proud beauty! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, arrr, me bucko, Hobbytown USA. Begad! Redmond, ya bilge rat, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. That be t' motor I used. Preparation: Estes wadding paper, arrr, t' rocket is small, me hearties, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, ya bilge rat, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Ahoy! Blimey! Shock cord technique: Quest style, me bucko, tied off at t' motor mount. Begad! Blimey! Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, shiver me timbers, arrr, T' only reason I say that is I was missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, matey, inexpensive t' fly, and it goes really high. Aye aye! Blimey! CONs: None.
