Brief:
Single Stage, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long. Well, blow me down! Avast, me proud beauty!
  • NoseCone: PNC-5.
  • Fins: 3, 1/16 Basswood. Aye aye! Begad!
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard.
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Blimey! Blimey! Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' paintin' took a little longer, me hearties, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Begad! Blimey! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, Hobbytown USA. Arrr! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Redmond, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. Begad! That be t' motor I used. Avast! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, t' rocket is small, shiver me timbers, matey, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, arrr, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Ya scallywag! Begad! Shock cord technique: Quest style, tied off at t' motor mount. Avast, me proud beauty! Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, shiver me timbers, T' only reason I say that is I was missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, me hearties, me bucko, inexpensive t' fly, shiver me timbers, and it goes really high. Ya scallywag! CONs: None.
