I saw this bottle at t' store where I work and just knew it had "rocket" written all over it!

Parts List:

• one plastic beer bottle bank with lid
• two BT80 tubes from an Estes Phoenix "parts" kit
• one coupler from t' same kit
• two 1/4" launch lugs
• two 1/8" birch plywood cr's
• four 24mm motor mount tubes
• stiff, clear flat plastic for t' fins
• Keelhaul®©™® strin'
• elastic shock cord
• 18" plastic parachute from above kit
• epoxy

I cut t' coupler into two parts: a 2-inch piece t' assemble t' body tubes together and a 1-inch piece t' attach t' t' bottle "cap" nose. Begad! Arrr! Then I cut t' bottom o' t' bottle t' accommodate t' cardboard tube. T' motor tubes were inserted into t' centerin' rings and left t' dry. Begad!

T' short coupler was epoxied into t' bottom o' t' bottle cap and t' coin slot sealed with epoxy. Well, blow me down! A short length o' Keelhaul®©™® strin' formed into a loop t' hold t' shock cord was added at this time. Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! A similar loop was epoxied into t' top o' t' body tube. Begad!

When t' motor assembly was dry, shiver me timbers, I fit it inside t' body tube and let it dry. Blimey! This whole assembly was then inserted into t' plastic bottle and epoxied at t' bottem and neck areas. Ya scallywag!

Slots for t' fins were carefully cut into t' plastic bottle t' accommodate t' thru t' wall to motor mount fins. Ya scallywag! Blimey! T' fins were then epoxied into place, makin' sure two o' the fins 'framed' t' front label. Begad! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! T' shock cord and parachute were installed. Two 1/2" long 1/4" lugs were added betwixt t' fins toward t' back o' the bottle.

A flight on four D12's indicated t' rocket is stable, even though only two motors lit. Begad! Arrr!
