Brief:
Boost-Glider with booster parachute.
Construction:
A 26 in tube with a glider and no fins. Begad! Ahoy! 22 in shock cord. Arrr! Mine did nay come
with a nose cone so I used a Estes Alpha 3.
T' Booster and glider instructions were brief but easy t' follow. Easy construction. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! T' glider is very fragile, ya bilge rat, maybe it be just me stupidness but it broke twice durin' transportation. Avast! Aye aye!
Finishing:
There were no decals but I couldn't put them on right anyway, shiver me timbers, me bucko, so I didn't mind.
Construction Rating: 3 out o' 5
Flight:
T' instructions do nay specify t' way you mount t' Glider, me bucko, so I e-mailed Rob
Edmonds and he gave me guidance. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! T' glider does nay fit well on t' holder and
requires much tape t' keep on. Arrr! T' recommended motor is a D but I wanted t' see
the whole flight and and shoved a C6-7 in a hollowed out D engine. Ya scallywag! Begad! T' flight
went about 30 feet and nose dived, me hearties, ejectin' t' engine after it dug itself into
the ground. Ya scallywag! Surprisingly thar be no damage. Avast! Avast! My mistake in a bad motor, so I
did nay count this against t' kit. Avast, arrr, me proud beauty! I again launched it this time on a D and
maybe a second after launchin' t' glider came off. Arrr! Arrr! T' glider be t' only
thin' that gives t' rocket guidance and it went crazy in t' air.
T' glider either is stuck t' t' booster or is way too loose. Blimey! Blimey!
Flight Rating: 1 out o' 5
Summary:
T' pro's are it seems like a cool idea when you are buildin' it. Blimey! T' cons are
overall bad design.
