Brief:
T' Initiator is a good looking, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, me hearties, mid powered rocket that flies on 24mm and 29mm rocket motors. Ya scallywag! T' starter set comes with everythin' needed t' build and launch t' Initiator.
Construction:
T' Initiator comes with (1) main body tube, shiver me timbers, a motor tube, me bucko, arrr, ya bilge rat, 3 fins, a nose cone, a gas baffle system and recovery system. Avast! Well, blow me down! T' starter set also includes a launch pad, launch controller and 2 motors.
T' Initiator is one o' t' easiest rockets t' build and with great illustrated instructions. Avast, me proud beauty! T' kit went together very smartly and t' way t' fins snap in, make alignment a breeze. T' rocket needs no special tools t' build and is very sturdy. Aye aye! Begad! We have launched our Initiator 25 times with only one 1 bad landing, ya bilge rat, we broke 1 fin off after launchin' her on a G64 with no parachute (but it was easily repaired). Begad! T' controller has worked perfectly, but we did give away t' launch pad and built our own (the Mantis pad wasn't goin' t' hold up t' me and me 3 boys).
Finishing:
T' Initiator was very simple t' finish and came with very nice decals. Avast! T' Initiator is a great lookin' rocket and we have flown her with both t' low powered rocket guys and t' high power rocket guys. She blows t' low powered rockets away and can keep up with t' high powered rockets.

Flight:
We have flown our Initiator 25 times on every thin' from E's t' big G's. We are havin' a lot o' fun flyin' her on our new 29mm 40-120 reloadable system. Well, blow me down! She will fly fine on t' E size motors, but really roars on a G64. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! This rocket uses no waddin' and t' recovery system has worked perfectly. Blimey! Our Initiator has flown straight every time.
Recovery:
Our Initiator has been recovered perfectly every time except t' time I left t' parachute out (but that's a long story). Well, blow me down! T' shock cord is sized fine for t' size o' t' Initiator.

Summary:
As a first rocket in t' mid-power range, arrr, you couldn't find a better rocket with its ease o' buildin' and strength. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! This is our 1st mid-powered rocket (we have many low and high powered rockets) and we have t' already mentioned 25 launches with a lot more t' come from our Initiator.

Easy to build kit - especially with the online tutorials that I managed to save as I was unable to find them more recently. Painted the rocket white with a red nosecone. So far it works great! Components Made as per kit plans and included supplies. Built with 5min epoxy to withstand higher impluse G flights. /h2 Kit came with everything including ...
The recovery system on this rocket is a large yellow parachute. Although this chute is very large it can be hard to see at a great distance. The only problem with this chute is that it easily catches in trees and this was the fate of my rocket. This kit comes with one body tube without a payload section. There are also a motor mount tube, molded plastic nosecone, and 3 through the wall ...
My starter set came with only the E16-4W reload wich I used for the maiden flight and was OK but not dramatic. I agree with most on the flimsy design of the Mantis pad. I'm still using it, but it's in constant need of repair for the legs. Need to try and bolt them on. My 2nd & 3rd flights were on Aerotech single use F27-8R redline motors which I think are the perfect moter for this rocket. For a stellar flight try the new 29mm single use Mojave Green G78-7G by Aerotech. Awesome flight!
