(Scratch) Big Bird ZeroBrief:
A BT-60 based upscale o' t' classic ESTES Blue Bird Zero, matey, matey, designed for 24mm, D, E, and F motors.

Construction:
Parts are very basic and are available from Balsa Machine Services. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Balsa cone and fins, paper BT-60 body tube and motor mount, matey, me hearties, and letramax centerin' rings. Blimey! Blimey! Avast! Blimey!

Once you have t' measurements, this is a straightforward build. Well, blow me down! Ahoy! You can download t' original instructions from Jim Z'z site if you like, ya bilge rat, me bucko, but it is not necessary.

Flight:
I have flown t' rocket three times, Twice on an E9-6, shiver me timbers, matey, and once on a D12-5. This rocket is just perfect for t' long burnin' E-9 motor. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' D12-5 worked well, me bucko, but as t' rocket hung on t' launch rod, recovery be late. Arrr! Blimey! Blimey! No damage resulted however. I have a few D21-4s, an I plan on flyin' them with a 18-24mm adapter this summer. Blimey! See t' RockSim file for recommended and non-recommended motors. Begad! Blimey!

Summary:
This design is very stable, matey, and is great for t' ESTES E9, a relatively long burnin' motor without much 'oomph' at ignition. Arrr! T' only drawback is the decals, which can be custom ordered from Jim Z or Tango Papa. Otherwise, it is an interesting, yet easy entry into mid power.
