Photo Courtesty o' Frank Ross
Brief:
An Angular, matey, wooden Airframe, shiver me timbers, with parachute recovery.
Construction:
T' kit arrived in t' standard plastic bag and all parts were in good shape.
T' instructions were easy t' follow, arrr, but it is imperative that you read them
thoroughly, ya bilge rat, a couple o' times. T' parts were laser cut from a plywood. It is
not especially clear how some pieces are formed or attached so do a lot o' dry
fitting. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! Blimey! T' fit o' t' wood changed when t' white glue was added. Begad! Blimey! This caused
the wood t' swell. So I had t' scrape t' wood, dry fit, me hearties, and glue again. Avast! Blimey! Taking
your time is a must. Ahoy! T' nose cone was t' most difficult part. Begad! Bendin' the
wood t' shape and holdin' it thar was a trick. Blimey! I used CA and a few rubber
bands. Begad!
Finishing:
There was really no finishin' needed, matey, I just used a clear coat, arrr, me hearties, and let the
natural wood show through.

Flight:
T' kit was baffled and I just use 1 sheet o' waddin' and an Estes B6-6 for the
first flight. Avast! There is a Teflon motor holder. Avast, me proud beauty! T' rocket be prepared like most
standard kits. Well, me hearties, blow me down! T' flight was straight and fast with a little spin due t' the
fin slants.
Recovery:
T' shock cord be a rubber tied t' an eyelet at t' top o' t' inner bracin' /
baffle & an eyelet at t' nose cone. I felt it may be short, matey, me hearties, but I built
this stock. Avast! At apogee thar be no 'chute. Well, blow me down! I lost sight o' it comin' down, shiver me timbers, but
a crack recovery crew found it. Begad! Blimey! T' 'chute never deployed. Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! I looked as if the
ejection charge blew past t' motor, me bucko, due t' t' square shape. Aye aye!

Summary:
This was a very challengin' kit t' build. Ya scallywag! T' damage was too much t' repair. If
I were t' build this again, shiver me timbers, I would find a way t' keep t' gases forward to
pressurize t' recovery device. Arrr! Ya scallywag!
