[Rocket Pic]T' idea be t' come up with a model me 3 year old daughter could "help" with, even if that didn't mean anythin' more than stickin' on stickers. Blimey! Stars are about t' most rocketry-related thin' that comes as stickers, so t' concept o' t' Star-roc be born. Blimey!

T' original version uses a full 18inch piece o' BT-60 (about 1.6 inches) body tube, arrr, ya bilge rat, with "your choice" o' nosecone.  Fins were lite-ply (? t' three layer stuff you get in grab-bags) in an attempt t' preserve the points o' t' stars.  T' paint scheme calls for paintin' t' fifth point of t' star goin' up t' body tube.  t' measurements shown give you a correctly proportioned star lookin' perpendicular t' t' plane o' t' fins (there are four fins), but a possible modification would be t' stretch the horizontal dimensions so that t' star is proportioned correctly looking directly betwixt two adjacent sets o' fins, matey, which be t' way t' prototype was painted (much easier that way!)  Motor mount is a conventional mount for 18mm motors.  Stability be verified with VCP usin' subsets o' t' fin segments (which aren't just about perfect (weight and drag wise, me hearties, this model is very similar t' a big bertha.)  Fly with an 18inch chute, dependin' on wind and how soft your field is. Begad! Ya scallywag!

After paintin' black, me hearties, I gave me daughter a sheet o' metallic star stickers and let her put them pretty much wherever she wanted.  Then t' fin finishin' was done. Blimey! Begad! T' prototypes have a different finish on each segment - monocoat, metallic mylar gift-wrappin' tape, iron-on metallic finishes similar to what's used in laser printers, and "metallic hued" acrylic paint.  T' mylar tape worked best, but me source dried up :-(   T' metallic paint is probably next best, me bucko, me hearties, but isn't as metallic.
