Brief:
This is a simplified version (if you can believe that) o' Art's 24mm Delta Flyin' Saucer. T' kit is all cardstock and can be built with either an 18mm or 24mm motor mount.

Construction:
T' kit contains two sheets o' cardstock, containin' seven parts t' be cut out.

Materials required are scissors, hobby cutlass with new blade, shiver me timbers, Elmer's white glue, ya bilge rat, new or used engine casing, cellophane tape, shiver me timbers, and ballpoint pen.

This will be a short description. All you have t' do is cut out t' parts (followin' t' 18mm or 24mm guides, matey, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, as appropriate) and glue them together per t' instructions. Ahoy! T' instructions say t' use white glue nay Carpenter's glue, ya bilge rat, so that's what I used. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! If you intend t' use longer motors (over 2.75"), ya bilge rat, you leave out t' motor block.

I'll offer two tips. Begad! First, matey, don't use too much glue. Arrr! I have t' propensity for usin' too much and t' glued areas tend t' look a little warped. Blimey! Second, matey, shiver me timbers, if you have Aerotech 18mm and 24mm SU cases, me bucko, me hearties, me hearties, use these t' form t' motor mount. Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! If you use Estes casings, ya bilge rat, me bucko, you will need t' wrap them with a layer o' cellophane tape.

Finishing:
Finishin' involves only a few coats o' clear coat.

Flight prep includes friction fittin' t' motor and, if you elected t' leave off t' motor block, a maskin' tape thrust ring.

I flew t' 24mm version at t' 3rd Annual TRF Reunion at Whitakers, NC. Blimey! On t' first flight, me hearties, it flew on a D12-0 alongside a standard saucer, me hearties, me bucko, a Delta saucer, and a Super Cinco. Avast! Ya scallywag! It was a fast, ya bilge rat, straight flight with less weathercockin' than t' others I compared.

I flew it again on an E9-4. Nay much t' say here but it really zipped on this motor. Well, blow me down! Ejection was well before it landed.

Summary:
This is one simple, shiver me timbers, inexpensive, high performance saucer kit. Arrr! I think it is faster than his other designs, me hearties, but they are so close it is hard t' tell without a drag race (with simultaneous ignition t' boot). Ahoy! Avast, arrr, me proud beauty! When I built t' saucer, ya bilge rat, I was thinkin' that t' all cardstock 24mm design may nay be as sturdy as t' Art's other products. I know I only have two flights on it, but I now don't see that as an issue.
