Brief:
This ignitor is designed for t' small composite single use Aerotech and Ellis Mountain motors.
Construction:
T' ignitors come in a 10 pack for $10. Avast! They are oval in cross section shape which is what is unique about them. Aye aye! Aye aye! As in t' photo, they fit perfect in t' AeroTech 24mm F21. They are a perfect fit in t' Ellis Mountain 24mm G37 as well.
T' only CON I can see is that you have t' make sure t' oval lines up t' t' shape o' t' "C" slot in t' smallest o' motors t' get it t' fit.
Out o' 20 twiggy ignitors we had t' slightly sand t' outside o' one t' get it t' fit in a tight motor "C" slot.
These are great for AT F20s and F21s, shiver me timbers, and Ellis G37s and G35s.
Flight:
We took these ignitors t' over 8 regional sized launches so far this year as well as LDRS. We first tested them in t' F21 in t' photo t' a perfect flight early spring. Ignited t' very first time.
We would save these for flyers askin' us if we had an ignitor. This almost always happened after t' flyer had suffered a misfire with some other ignitor first.
We have put them in Ellis Mountain 24mm and 29mm single use motors, AeroTech 24mm and 29mm single use and RMS motors, and even an experimental small hybrid motor.
In all but one case they fired each time. Well, blow me down! Well, matey, blow me down! In t' one case they did not, arrr, we discovered that it was an improperly assembled RMS motor and nay t' fault o' t' ignitor.
Summary:
They work real well and I will be pickin' up 20 more from Quickburst so I can help me fellow flyers out with a good reliable ignitor for t' smaller composite motors.

The Hot Shot igniters are low current igniters. Used on the ground for black powder clusters or any other black powder applications. It has 12" leads that will reliably ignite clusters of black powder motors using the output of your launch control. The entire Hot Shot has been redesigned. They now have smaller lead wire and a smaller head. This means they will easily fit into the 13mm, 18mm, ...
I had the opportunity to use the Quick Burst igniters recently. I have tons of praise and one complaint. I'm not sure what the after market opportunity will be for igniters at present since Aerotech now makes and supplies a reliably igniter with each motor. For experimenters, folks with NAR certified Kosdon motors, Ellis Mountain, RATT Works, etc, these are very nice igniters. Fat Boy ...
Whether you call them igniters or ignitors...these work. I don't have a lot to add after the above reviews, however, I would like to comment on each briefly: Fat Boy igniters: You're dealing with an igniter that is 5.5mm in diameter and 25mm long. The diameter will dictate which motors it can be used in. I used one in an I161 successfully. It ignited the motor instantly. No chuffs, no ...
I recently had the opportunity to evaluate igniters from QuickBurst, a company offering both igniter and launch control products. They have an igniter product for most every rocketry application, including black powder motors, electronically fired ejection charges, and both mid-power and high-power composite motors. I received a ‘Six Pack’ sampler, which included two each of their ...
