Brief

This rocket is actually a clone o' t' Enerjet 1340 usin' t' Estes Eliminator (or Eliminator XL) kit. Well, blow me down!  You can also use t' Centuri MARS Project kit, ya bilge rat, t' Estes Challenger II kit, ya bilge rat, arrr, t' Centuri Phoenix Bird, Estes Maniac, or t' Estes Longshot for makin' this clone.

I used resources such as this reference.

There are various threads about t' Enerjet 1340 on t' rocketry forums that you can find and read.

Components

All components were stock with t' payload bay tube bein' cut down a little t' have t' kit match t' dimensions o' t' original kit.

T' 24mm x 95mm stock motor mount was used from t' Eliminator kit. Blimey!  T' original kit used a 29mm motor mount so it could fly  F motors.

Construction

Construction was easy and quick with t' only change was addin' some Keelhaul®©™ t' t' rubber band shock cord. Ahoy!  T' Keelhaul®©™ was attached t' t' motor mount with a loop on t' other end t' attach t' rubber band shock cord to.

Finishing

T' rocket was finished usin' Monokote that is normally used on model aircraft.

For t' Enerjet 1340 decals I downloaded t' graphic file free from Ye Olde Rocket Plans' "Decal and Templates" section.

Construction Score: 5

Flight

This model flew very, very well straight up.

T' first flight be with a C6-3 usin' a motor adapter in 2014.  Great flight, ya bilge rat, arrr, no damage.

T' second flight was flown on 1MAR2015 usin' a D12-3. Arrr!  A 24mm adapter included with t' kit was used. Arrr! Begad!  Excellent flight.

T' third flight occurred on 19APR2015 usin' an E9-6. Aye aye! Avast!  T' flight be perfect. Blimey!  There was a bit o' wind and had a walk t' retrieve it. Arrr!  Next time I'll use a small parachute.

Recovery

Recovery system was fine for t' rocket.  I would use a smaller parachute for t' higher flights.

Flight Rating: 5

Summary

A great kit with no real cons I can think of.
