Brief:
I received a few Flic rockets as "freebies" in Quest orders. My younger daughter has played with them, launchin' them with t' provided rubber band stick.

On t' powered Flic attempt, I mounted an Alien-X Decor Flic on a Quest MMX-2 body tube. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! This body tube didn't extend over t' top o' t' cardstock Flic. I flew it with a MMX engine t' t' BIG altitude o' 25 feet.

Construction:
T' second successful Flic has a 10 1/2" BT-5 glued into t' "V" o' t' two Flic halves. T' body tube and nose cone extend 6 1/2" over t' top o' t' Flic body.

Thin Keelhaul®©™ is tied t' t' engine block, arrr, followed by elastic and a short streamer. Toppin' it off is a Estes Quark style plastic nose cone, ya bilge rat, half filled with clay for stability.

This was an easy, me bucko, spare parts build. I spray painted t' central body tube black, no fillin' or sandin' was required.

Flight:
After t' poor performance o' t' first Flic with a Micro Max engine, I knew I needed more power.

While t' updated Flic flights were made with A10-3ts, and A3-4t would also be fine.

Motor retention was a friction fit with maskin' tape. Well, me bucko, blow me down! Just a little waddin' be needed t' protect t' crepe paper streamer.

With t' engine slightly offset, me bucko, ya bilge rat, me bucko, while I be expectin' an slight angle away from vertical. Nay so - Straight, vertical flight.

Recovery under t' streamer be fast, but thar was no damage on recovery.

Summary:
A cheap, me hearties, easy t' build, fun model. Ya scallywag! A surprisingly good flyer.

Anyone who has ordered from Quest probably has a few o' these. Blimey! Add some scrap BT-5, a nose cone and fly it! Why not?

After t' first unsuccessful MMX Flic launch, me bucko, I almost gave up on t' project. Avast, me proud beauty! I'm glad I made a second prototype and now have a unique rocket.

This is one I can keep in me range box, ya bilge rat, me bucko, for a quick, "stand by" when I want t' launch just one more.
