Great little GoonyBird style kit by Semroc.
Balsa nose cone, fins, arrr, and cockpit. Begad! Water slide decals.
No problems buildin' t' kit.
Was a little difficult t' paint t' joint under t' wings.
Great flights, me hearties, fin config makes it look cool in t' air.
I wish I had put two more coats o' glue on t' nose cone. Ya scallywag! Blimey! It's a bit banged up now.
One o' me favorite rockets
At first glance the Semroc Saki appears to be an Estes Goonybird Cloud Hopper with different paint and decals, but comparing the two side by side tells a different story. They share the same basic shape, but little else, as the Saki is not only larger than the BT-60 Estes bird, but also 18mm powered compared to the mini-engine Goony. According to Estes Industries legend, ...
A single-stage LPR kit, one of the "Groonie" line from SEMROC. Designed to bear a resemblance to the WWII Japanese "Ohka" kamikaze plane. 1 Balsa nose cone, 2 body tubes [one being the motor mount tube], 1 centering ring set, 1 laser-cut balsa fin set, 1 thrust ring, 1 motor hook, 1 Kevlar thread/elastic cord shock cord, clay nose weight, 1 plywood disc, 1 screw eye, 1 12-inch plastic ...
Regarding the white teeth, eyes and Semroc logo -
You can use small pieces cut from an unprinted white decal sheet. Set those down first (where the teeth and eyes will be) then add the kits black decals over the top.
By itself the white decal won't need any clear coats, it slides right off the backing after soaking. It's a little extra work, I've done it on decals that don't have the white background.
That's how I did my first Red Max clone, but I used adhesive shelf paper cut to just under the size of the decal.

I think the decals need some white in the teeth, eyes and behind the Semroc logo.
