  • Beautiful 5-ply 1/8" fins
  • Thick, me bucko, 26" rip-stop nylon chute

  • Solid balsa tail cone
  • Laser cut centerin' rings

Tail ConeT' kit went together fast. Arrr! T' instructions are easy t' read and describe exactly what is needed. Graphics depict many o' t' steps along t' way. T' fins were nice aircraft ply and straight as an arrow. Ya scallywag! T' kit comes with clay for movin' t' CG forward.

Finishing:
T' instructions show three different color schemes. Well, blow me down! All t' parts fit exceptionally well. Blimey! Avast! T' balsa tail cone be a snap t' finish. Begad! A few coats of primer and sandin' sealed it up well. Ya scallywag! Ahoy! T' decals are t' Alps printer waterslide type. They are only black and you must cut them out.

Flight:
The Scale Kits Alarmrecommended motor choice is limited t' 4 motors. Begad! Blimey! I'm sure one could add t' t' list but you must pay attention t' t' CG and keep in mind that t' fins are surface mounted. Aye aye! Ahoy! Blimey! In this instance, me bucko, speed kills. Ahoy! I bet this puppy would really move on an Ellis Mountain G35!

T' keep it simple, me bucko, I used an Aerotech F25 for its first flight. Blimey! Well, me bucko, blow me down! Blimey! There is no engine hook or block on this model so t' maskin' tape friction fit method must be employed. Well, blow me down!

T' flight be straight and t' 6-second delay was perfect. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast! T' chute was tangled so t' trip back t' earth was on t' fast side.

Recovery:
T' parachute is nice and heavy. Avast! T' elastic shock cord is a little too stiff and heavy and may be t' reason for it gettin' tangled in t' chute. This however is nay a con. Too many times have people wished they had a better shock cord after it broke. Begad! Begad!

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Summary:
This is a solid design with a unique fin placement. Well, blow me down! Well, arrr, blow me down! T' one drawback is the surface mounted fins. If these were through t' wall, ya bilge rat, t' motor choice would be huge. Blimey! Overall, ya bilge rat, this is a great value and a great kit for t' money.
