Brief:
29mm composite motor.
Flight:
I tried this motor out in me scratch-built "Thunderstruck". It's built o' LOC and Aerotech components, 2.25" OD X 43" long, arrr, shiver me timbers, and weighs 18 oz. Aye aye! T' motor took a moment t' pressurize, then SHOT t' rocket off t' pad. Ya scallywag! Begad! It is loud, shiver me timbers, raw, smoky and fiery. Ahoy! T' guys at t' CMASS launch all stopped t' watch this one go, and they're used t' H, me bucko, I, me bucko, matey, and sometimes higher power! This flight was a thrill for sure.
Summary:
These motors are t' best deal in rocketry. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! You nay only get a deal on a pair o' them, shiver me timbers, but you also get a unique propellant that is fun t' fly. Aerotech, matey, thumbs up t' you!
Cons- t' stupid sticky label! It slid easily into t' Aerotech mount but had t' be RIPPED out with vise grips, because o' t' melted glue. Arrr! What a nuisance. Begad! T' residue did clean out easily with acetone. I recommend peelin' off t' label and usin' De-Solv-It Citrus t' remove t' glue. Aye aye! This was done on t' second motor, and it slipped into and out o' t' mount with ease. This motor would get an enthusiastic 5 ratin' if nay for t' label hassle.
