Brief:
Nice two-inch diameter MPR rocket from Yank Enterprises. Ya scallywag! Blimey! It is single staged, matey, matey, has a 29mm mount and uses a 20 foot streamer for recovery.

Construction:
T' kit included a flexible phenolic body tube, shiver me timbers, 9 inch 29mm motor mount tube, nose cone, centerin' rings, three 1/8 inch baltic birch ply fins, launch lugs, tubular nylon shock cord, 20 foot plastic streamer and instructions.

T' instructions were fairly easy t' understand, but t' print and illustrations were so small even with me perfect eyesight, matey, me hearties, I had t' hold them close t' me deadlights t' understand them. Could use some improvement.

This kit is fairly easy t' build and would make a nice first or second MPR kit.

For all construction, I used NHP 12 minute epoxy. Arrr! Begad! Blimey! I started by assemblin' t' motor mount. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' rings needed some sandin' t' slide into place. Aye aye! I mixed some epoxy and glued t' shock cord t' t' motor mount tube. Well, blow me down! Begad! Blimey! Before t' expoy set up, I used maskin' tape t' secure it as described in t' instructions. Ahoy! Blimey! Since t' shock cord material likes t' pull apart, me bucko, I highly reccomend tapin' t' ends t' prevent from pullin' t' material out.

Once t' epoxy on t' motor mount dried, matey, I glued it into t' body tube and then applied fillets t' t' rings. T' biggest challenge for me was gettin' epoxy down t' t' forward centerin' rin' without makin' a big mess.

I then sanded t' leadin' and trailin' edges o' t' fins round. Ahoy! T' instructions reccommended doin' this durin' t' finishin' but I found it a lot easier t' do so before they were attached. Blimey! I attached t' fins one at a time without any problems. Arrr! Begad! There were some small gaps at t' bottom but I easily filled them with epoxy. Aye aye! I sanded t' body tube at t' points were t' launch lugs were t' be attached and then attached them. Ahoy! I then applied generous fillets t' t' fins and launch lugs. Avast, me proud beauty! Now on t' finishing.

PROS: Easy and quick construction, me bucko, excellent parts fit.

CONS: Small print in Instructions.

Finishing:
I started by sandin' t' nose cone t' remove t' moldin' lines. Arrr! Avast! I used Squadron White Putty t' fill t' rather deep sprials in t' body tube. Well, blow me down! This took about two applications. I used Bondo putty on t' nose cone t' fill t' rest o' t' moldin' lines that I couldn't sand out. I applied sandin' sealer t' t' fins and sandin' betwixt coats. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! I sprayed t' entire model with Krylon Grey Primer and fine sanded betwixt coats. Well, blow me down! I sprayed t' upper portion o' t' rocket with Krylon Copper Brilliance Spray enamel. Ahoy! I now painted t' bottom o' t' rocket with Krylon Gloss Black enamel for a fine featherin' look. Avast! Begad! I then applied about two coats o' Rustolem Clear enamel t' protect t' finish. Ya scallywag! No decals were provided but that that proved t' be fine t' me.

Flight:
T' reccommended motors are t' E23T, matey, F20W, shiver me timbers, F39T, F40W, F52T, shiver me timbers, matey, F62T, G25W, me hearties, arrr, and t' G33J.

T' kit did nay include motor retention, so I pre-fabricated me own. This rocket does require waddin' as t' motor tube is nay long enough t' accommodate a baffle.

For me flight, I felt confident about usin' me RMS 29/40-120 casin' for t' first time. Blimey! Blimey! I loaded up a F52-8T. T' rocket zipped off t' pad arrow straight and very fast t' about 1500 feet. Avast, me proud beauty! After motor burnout, I heard a nice whistle all t' way t' appogee just like t' video on Yank's website.

Recovery:
I really did nay feel comfortable usin' t' streamer so I replaced it with a bright yellow Top Flight Recovery 18 inch nylon chute as I really did nay want t' repair anything. T' 'chute did a great job bringin' t' rocket down in one piece t' a safe landing.

I really enjoyed buildin' and flyin' this kit. T' only change that I would make is addin' a 'chute instead o' t' provided streamer t' prevent a recovery hazard. Ahoy! Begad! This kit is availible from Yank Enterprises for $45.00, shiver me timbers, worth every penny.
