Brief:
An education-series rocket that can only be purchased in bulk. Begad! Perfect for a group o' scouts, me hearties, a school project, church groups, me hearties, me bucko, or someone who just wants a ton o' t' same rocket, matey, for whatever reason.

Construction:
T' individual kits come in a clear plastic bag, and contain a plastic nose cone molded in orange, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, a plastic fin assembly o' t' same color, me hearties, me hearties, arrr, a mylar launch lug, me hearties, a length o' Keelhaul®©™® shock cord, a very sturdy body tube, matey, and a pink streamer. Ya scallywag! All o' this is standard, matey, basic rocket stuff, but is actually a little more challengin' than it first seems.

Everythin' fit together well durin' trial assembly. T' motor tube fits inside t' plastic fin unit, along with t' motor retainin' clip (more on this later) and motor block. T' Keelhaul®©™® wraps around t' motor block, me bucko, shiver me timbers, matey, then is attached t' some thick elastic thread, matey, which in turn attaches t' t' excellent nose cone. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, me proud beauty! T' motor tube then slips into t' body tube. I deviated somewhat from t' instructions, however. Blimey! Instead o' gluin' t' motor tube/fin assembly into t' body tube, shiver me timbers, I glued t' nose cone t' t' body tube and just slip t' body tube over t' motor tube before flight. Begad! Arrr! Prep is a breeze this way, and t' streamer won't get hung inside t' tube. Avast, me proud beauty! Nor will it zipper if it ejects too soon.

Finishing:
Finishin' was as easy as assembly. Ya scallywag! I spray painted t' body tube flat black, me hearties, and while t' paint be still wet, ya bilge rat, applied some decals I had left over from a car model. Begad! Well, blow me down! Then I clear coated t' whole model when it was dry. Simple. Avast, me proud beauty! Looks like a cheap, matey, plastic and paper rocket, me hearties, which it is.

Flight:
Quest suggests usin' their A6-4 only. Begad! Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! T' instructions never stated why, matey, shiver me timbers, but from readin' other Quest rocket instructions usin' t' same fin can, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, me bucko, it states that t' heat from a longer duration motor might melt t' fin can. Well, blow me down! So, me hearties, I just HAD t' test that! Flight prep is simple: Add some waddin' t' t' motor tube, stuff t' 24" streamer into t' body tube, me bucko, and put t' body tube onto t' motor tube. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! T' motor retention clip doesn't; you could fly this one just as well if you omit t' motor retainin' clip. Aye aye! T' clip is nay springy, and after a few flights, shiver me timbers, doesn't even contact t' motor anymore unless you bend it.

Recovery:
I flew t' Star Hawk for t' 6th grade science class I was invited t' speak to, and with an Estes A6-3, it hit about 400 feet or so. Ahoy! Some o' t' students launch rockets themselves, and were unimpressed, matey, but t' ones who had never seen a model rocket were amazed. So, matey, me hearties, since t' fins showed no signs o' wear, I just had t' test Quest's mettle. Ahoy! A B6-6 will launch t' little rocket t' a respectable height, and is about t' absolute limit for a small school playground. Well, blow me down! Well, blow me down! I have made 3 flights on a C6-7, ya bilge rat, and t' thin' will absolutely vaporize off t' pad! It will recover just fine without t' streamer, ya bilge rat, as I found out on t' final flight. Arrr! No meltin' or damage whatsoever.
