Flight Log - 2010-06-19 - Steve Lindeman's Quasimodo

Based on the Baby Bertha design but with a slightly longer BT-60 tube by semroc I believe and modified for 4 13mm motors. Also features 3 fiberboard fins instead of 4 balsa ones for lighter weight as this rocket was built for competition in A - Clustered.

Flight Date: 2010-06-19
Rocket Name: Quasimodo
Kit Name: Estes - Baby Bertha {Kit} (1261) [2002-]
Flyer's Name: Steve Lindeman
Motors: 2xA10-PT+2xA10-3
Wind Speed: 6.00 mph
Launch Site: S.M.A.S.H. Regional Event

Fast lift off the pad with rocket cocking and spinning. Should have checked it over better before launch as one fin must have been bent. Parachute shortly after apogee with recovery over 200' from pad. This was my first multi-cluster competition event launched rocket. Wanted to make second attempt at 'A altitude cluster' but heat and thrust from motors either softened glue around MT and it broke lose when I tried to reload or I didn't have it glued it properly. Will repair for next event.
