[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, ya bilge rat, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, ya bilge rat, and none defective or damaged. Ya scallywag! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, me bucko, Estes type. Avast, me proud beauty! T' nose cone is unusual, though. Well, blow me down! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, me bucko, you get solid hardwood. Well, blow me down! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, ya bilge rat, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Arrr! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Aye aye! Elmers glue was used for construction. Begad! Blimey! T' instructions were simple and clear. Assembly took just about an hour. Well, blow me down! No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, me hearties, arrr, so I decorated it in me own way. I used white, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, me hearties, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Well, blow me down! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, me bucko, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, me hearties, A8-3, ya bilge rat, B4-4 or 6, arrr, matey, B6-6, shiver me timbers, C6-5 or 7, C10-7, D3-7, and D10-7. I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Arrr! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Recovery be quick and easy. Aye aye! However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, me hearties, t' streamer be burned a little. Ahoy! So, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Aye aye! Just about right, me bucko, me bucko, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Blimey! Flies straight and fairly high. Avast! Streamer wasn't durable, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
