Construction and finishing: All parts were there, me bucko, and none defective or damaged. You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, Estes type. Arrr! T' nose cone is unusual, ya bilge rat, though. Avast, me proud beauty! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, you get solid hardwood. Arrr! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, ya bilge rat, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Aye aye! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Ya scallywag! Elmers glue was used for construction. Aye aye! T' instructions were simple and clear. Assembly took just about an hour. Ya scallywag! Avast! No gotchas or special tools are needed.
Finishing: There are no decals, ya bilge rat, so I decorated it in me own way. Begad! I used white, ya bilge rat, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, matey, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Begad! Well, blow me down! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, me bucko, shiver me timbers, me bucko, so I varnished it with a clear coat.
Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, A8-3, me bucko, B4-4 or 6, ya bilge rat, B6-6, matey, me bucko, me hearties, C6-5 or 7, C10-7, D3-7, shiver me timbers, and D10-7. I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Begad! Avast! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Avast! Avast, me proud beauty! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Recovery was quick and easy. Aye aye! However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, me hearties, t' streamer was burned a little. So, me hearties, I'll make it a small mylar chute.
Recovery: Simple t' prep. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! Just about right, shiver me timbers, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.
Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Well, blow me down! Flies straight and fairly high. Streamer wasn't durable, though.
