Actor Seth Green, and some actor/writer/producer friends, visited NASA Goddard. Begad! They got t' see our giant centrifuge as they were preparin' for a low-speed balance test o' t' James Webb Space Telescope's ISIM structure. Here is some footage o' their visit and o' t' centrifuge in motion. Arrr! NASA's High Capacity Centrifuge (HCC) top speed: 33 1/3 rpm (just like t' record speed if anyone remembers that); it generates 30 G's at that speed. ISIM test top speed: about 11 rpm for about 10 Gs (same as it will experience on t' Ariane 5 rocket durin' launch) T' ISIM test shown here wasn't even 1 G. Begad! It was about 1/3 rpm. Begad! It was done t' test t' balance o' t' centrifuge.
