(OOP) Estes Nebulon WarriorBrief:
After a bit o' proddin' from me decal maker, arrr, Mr. Bill Eichelberger, matey, I am submittin' this review. Arrr! Thanks Bill.

T' Nebulon Warrior is a rather easy t' duplicate kit with t' aid o' plans downloaded from JimZ's website. Ya scallywag! It is a space plane fighter type rocket.

Construction:
All o' t' tube sizes and component numbers are in t' plans.

I just happened t' have a PNC-20A in me stash, but I think they can still be found from some vendors. T' build t' rocket you will also need a 12" length o' BT-20, two 4" lengths o' BT-20, and a 2 3/4" length o' BT-55. Ya scallywag! For centerin' rings I used heavy cardboard cut from a folder. Ya scallywag! I did nay have a engine hook so I just used an engine block and friction fit t' motors. T' shock cord is 14" o' Keelhaul®©™® and 14" o' 1/8" elastic.

Construction is pretty straightforward and t' instructions are easy t' follow. Aye aye! Ahoy! PDF files are great for printin' body tube markin' guides as long as you set them t' print at 100%. I had some 3/32" basswood left over from a project so I used it instead o' balsa on t' two large wings that couple t' main BT t' t' win' pods. I like t' tack t' fins on rockets with CA and then fillet with white glue. Avast! Avast! This makes it easier t' get more done in less time and then I'm nay stuck holdin' parts waitin' for white glue t' set up.

Finishing:
I ran into one setback here. Ya scallywag! Arrr! T' decals in t' original were on a blue back decal paper. Begad! Aye aye! This led t' t' model spendin' a lot o' time sittin' in primer before finish. Begad! Begad! I sealed t' fins with white glue, shiver me timbers, sanded, sanded again, primed, arrr, and sanded one last time. Avast! Arrr! T' rocket then spent 6 months and all five o' its flights t' date in primer. Until one day decal maker Bill Eichelberger got bored and with t' aid o' a Windows paint program, he erased all o' t' blue with white and printed them for me.

I cleaned up t' rocket and gave it 2 coats o' some Krylon Aluminum paint I had on t' shelf and applied t' decals. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I then gave it a coat o' Krylon clear.

Flight:
T' plans call for t' standard A through C motors. Well, arrr, blow me down! Mine has flown with pretty much all o' these and flies great with all o' them. I use dog barf for waddin' and t' chute is Estes 12" plastic. Begad! T' chute is attached t' t' nose cone with a swivel. Begad! This rocket is very stable in flight and is nay bothered by t' wind. Blimey! Ahoy! T' only gotcha be t' big fins like t' tangle up t' chute. Begad! Well, blow me down! So far I have been lucky that when it has tangled up it manages t' untangle.

Recovery:
T' standard 12" chute is perfect for this rocket. Well, blow me down! With five flights t' its credit, me hearties, thar has been little wear and tear on this bird. Well, blow me down! Then again, arrr, it also has new paint. Begad! If I had gone with t' recommended length o' shock cord, I think I still would have a problem with t' fins tangling. That is just t' nature o' t' beast.

Summary:
This is a cool rocket t' build and fly. Despite t' problems with t' shock cord and decals, it is a great clone t' build with a minimum o' cost in parts. Ahoy! I like it.
