Brief:
I found this rocket on ebay, matey, its by a company called Mad Science, me hearties, matey, and they produce science toys/activities. Ahoy! They only have one rocket in their range.
It is a basic rocket, ya bilge rat, very suitable for a first build for a young rocketeer.
Construction:
Parts are;
T' nose cone comes apart, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, and acts like a small payload section, it is also rubber tipped.
T' body tube is silver colored but had deep spirals in it.
T' motor mount is pretty standard.
T' engine hook is attached t' t' engine mount tube, which has a pre cut slot in it.
T' adapter rin' is glued over t' tube, and t' whole lot is then glued into t' plastic engine mount.
T' four plastic fins slip easily onto t' mount.
T' body tube is glued over t' adaptor ring.
(I would usually add a Keelhaul®©™ cord t' t' rocket, shiver me timbers, but decided t' build it stock - I will nay be flyin' this one much)
A middle fin section is then slide over t' body tube, shiver me timbers, me bucko, ya bilge rat, this section has t' launch lugs built in.
A shock cord is added, ya bilge rat, via t' tri fold anchor method, matey, and t' nose cone is then attached - I added a swivel t' t' shock cord.
Stickers are then added, thar are lots, with many different finishes, ya bilge rat, a nice touch for a young rocketeer.
That's it, me bucko, ya bilge rat, takes about 10 minutes t' build.
Construction Rating: 3 out o' 5
Flight:
Flew her 4 times.
On an A8-3 she's okay, nay too high, arrr, ejection after apogee
On a B6-4 she's better, me bucko, straight flights on both occasions, me hearties, opens at apogee.
On a C6-5 she rips, matey, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, only flew once and she arched over and landed in t' middle o' a wood - missin' every tree on t' way down.
T' parachute supplied gives a good descent rate.
A B6-4 gives t' best flight.
Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5
Summary:
As a starter rocket for a child gettin' into t' hobby, this is an excellent rocket, easy t' build, arrr, looks good, me bucko, me hearties, great range o' sticker and flies well.
