[Title]

This Estes ARF rocket set contains  two "tiny" rockets; one called t' "Blitz" and t' other one t' "Sizzler".

[Rocket Pic]Package: It would be hard t' fault Estes on their packaging. Ya scallywag! Well, blow me down! They have made some pretty slick sets t' catch your eye; especially those "YOUNG" deadlights that miss nothin' !! It is well done and very attractive.

Components: T' parts consist o' (2) rockets with shock cord and nose cone attached, (2) plastic streamers, and (2) motor retention rings. Begad! Blimey! T' rockets are made o' moulded plastic, and t' fins although very thin seem t' be flexible enough as nay t' break easily. Blimey! Blimey! There is (1) extra motor retention rin' in t' package. ---T' Estes Mosquito is used for size comparison. Ahoy! Blimey! I told you t' LOGO be bigger than t' rockets !!

All o' t' parts appeared t' be in good shape and seemed well made considerin' what they are and all. I thought it be a "Nice Touch" givin' you an extra motor retention ring. Aye aye! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! These rockets us t' 13mm motors.

Assembly: Consists o' attachin' t' streamer t' t' shock cord. This shouldn't cause too much difficulty. Aye aye! I didn't make a picture o' this because I think you "Get t' Picture" without it.

[Rocket Pic]Concerns: An initial observation that has me wonderin' about t' outcome, be t' body tube o' t' "Blitz". Ya scallywag! It is fashioned after t' "50's" style and has a body tube that is larger diameter in t' middle than on t' ends. Aye aye! Arrr! As you can see, ya bilge rat, t' "Sizzler" on t' other hand has a more conventional "Straight" sided body tube. My concern is if t' waddin' and streamer might get congested tryin' t' get out t' smaller openin' ?? I will have t' fly this one first !! Photo o' outcome t' follow..

Recommended Engines: Below be t' listed engine selection. Begad! T' A10-3T will make this "Small" rocket look even smaller at 600 Ft. Ahoy! Ahoy! !!

[Altitude]

I promise t' use nothin' less than an A10-3T for t' first flight. O' course, this is how I lost me very first Mosquito, and t' second, ya bilge rat, third, and so on - you know what I mean, I know you're out thar ....

[Rocket Pic]

First Flight: After preppin' t' "Mighty Blitz" for it's first flight; addin' t' motor (A10-3T) I promised - , me bucko, me bucko, t' wadding, etc. Blimey! Had a short delay, arrr, one o' me recovery crew had t' use t' bathroom. It's hard t' get good grandkids these days... Avast! Well, me hearties, blow me down! :) T' rocket went very similar t' t' Estes Mosquito - Psssst , and it was gone. Well, blow me down! Lost sight o' it until ejection. Streamer did nay deploy. Aye aye! Well, me hearties, blow me down! Rocket floated down and picture shows t' result. Avast! My concern about t' waddin' and streamer gettin' out o' that tapered tube be well founded. Ahoy! Begad! I didn't see how it would work properly. Avast, me proud beauty! T' body tube got so hot that one o' t' fins was pressed over just from t' weight o' t' rocket and it will fly no more. Ahoy! If you place some waddin' into a funnel, ya bilge rat, you will be hard pressed t' get it out t' small end very quickly. Ahoy! This is what happened here. Arrr! T' flight o' t' "Sizzler" was t' same except t' recovery system worked in it's "Straight" tube body.

Rating: 1 out o' 5 points. Because o' t' poor design o' t' "Blitz", and t' frustration level it could cause a "New" prospective rocket person, that be t' best I could do. This package needs some major changes t' be acceptable as I see it.

[Addendum]Late addition - T' Addendum at t' left was supposed t' be in t' package. Ya scallywag! A friend o' mine brought one over t' show me after I already fried me Blitz tryin' t' use t' streamer. Little things like a missin' addendum can and will cause some grief. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! This is VERY close t' full size.
