T' Helicat is a big single stage rocket that uses a 18" parachute for t' main rocket body. T' main rocket body consists o' two large yellow tubes permanently glued together at a black plastic joint piece and black plastic fins. Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! T' nose cone has helicopter fins and is recovered separately (which is great for t' kids).
T' kit was very easy t' build, shiver me timbers, it looks great with its (2) yellow tubes with black plastic fins and nose cone and had some cool self-adhesive decals which me kids had fun puttin' on. Well, blow me down! Ahoy! T' engine mount is a twist-on type (black plastic) which I haven't seen before but it worked great.
T' rocket flew really well usin' "C" motors and both recovery systems work flawlessly. Ya scallywag! Avast! No damage was seen after three launches, and t' rocket looks like it will be real durable. And best o' all t' kids loved chasin' both t' nose cone and t' main rocket. Begad! T' manual says it can go as high as 600 feet, shiver me timbers, arrr, unfortunately I don't have enough experience t' say for sure how high it really went (maybe 400 feet). Highly recommended.
The rocket is cool with the heli blades, but it is too heavy. If you want it to go higher, you need to swap out the blades for a parachute (but some may think you are removing the personality of the rocket). My son wanted higher so we took them out. We put in a 12" parachute and it went 200 ft higher. Components Well made /h2 Finishing ...
