I received this kit from Hobbylinc a couple o' weeks ago. Well, blow me down! Since I have experience with t' smaller Lightnin' version, I decided t' make some modifications t' this one. Arrr!  

T' kit is fairly easy t' build and t' instructions are excellent. Ya scallywag! Blimey!   I did make t' followin' changes. I made a motor mount tube from an ESTES BT20 tube. T' original is too thin and cheap. Well, blow me down! Blimey! T' original is too thin and cheap. T' outside diameter o' t' BT20 is a bit small, me bucko, so I added a few pieces o' scrap tubin' betwixt t' plastic motor mount cap and t' tube (make sure t' sand down t' tube, me bucko, t' scap pieces and t' plastic cap). Blimey! Blimey!  

T' other change was that I added an ESTES engine hook. Avast! Ya scallywag! I filed t' wall on t' plastic cap that fits on t' motor tube and t' hook passes through. Arrr!  

Finally, I cut a 12" inch 8 strin' chute from a thick garbage bag and discarded t' original. Begad! Vents and a spill hole were cut on t' chute.  

Let's launch this kit! After an unproductive day at t' JOB, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, I went t' one o' me favorite spots with a 500' x 400' section. Arrr! Wind was gustin' t' 10 mph. Ya scallywag! T' rocket is unpainted and in t' original white. Ya scallywag!  

Flight #1 B4-4 - Excellent lift-off and straight as an arrow. Delay was good and recovery be good. Ahoy! Begad! No spiralin' no weird apogee no nothing, I think I'll go for a B6-4. Well, shiver me timbers, blow me down!  

Flight #2 You guessed it B6-4 - Excellent and much faster take off. Avast! Nice and straight, ya bilge rat, kind o' like t' Big Dawg, and hardly any weather-cockin' (no, ya bilge rat, this is nay t' Oval Room!) 

Flight #3 Ok Ok, me bucko, this is fun, let's try t' C6-3. Ahoy! Blimey! This time, ya bilge rat, I have t' angle t' rod a few degrees against t' wind. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Make sure thar aren't any mutts runnin' loose and t' spectators have no interest or meatloaf for brains. T' take off was good, ya bilge rat, but t' rocket did seem t' want t' go straight up. Avast! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! A little high, man I am thinkin' I should have used that 10" chute! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! This time, me hearties, t' rocket goes really high and I lost sight o' it. Ahoy! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! I see t' Estes white trace (or whatever it is called) and t' black chute. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Goes into t' next soccer field and nice recovery. Avast! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Some old folks that were romantically embraced under a tree near where t' rocket fell gave me t' "young man, arrr, you . Aye aye! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! . Arrr! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! . Arrr! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! . Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! . Begad! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! " look on their faces. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Maybe they needed their Geritol or some Bengay, ya bilge rat, me hearties, so I just smiled nicely and apologized for t' intrusion.

Flight #4 and 5. Blimey! This time I use t' C6-5. This time I use t' C6-5. Ahoy! T' rocket went up great and came down great, BUT, arrr, shiver me timbers, is it me or do t' C6-5's seem a little on t' wimpy side lately? I went for 2 flights because they did nay act like t' C6-3 with t' exception o' 2 extra seconds t' t' delay. T' delay was nay off, shiver me timbers, I just seem t' notice that t' engine "puttered" in mid air and did nay put t' rocket as high. Ahoy! Aye aye! Could be just a bad batch. Blimey! T' batch I used on me Big Dawg report were great! 

Flight #6 did nay happen. Blimey! I did nay brin' with me a C5-3 and me family wants me home for dinner. Hey, ya bilge rat, those folks under t' tree are talkin' t' t' nice police person. Begad! Blimey! Blimey! I think they just needed a splash o' cold water or something. Begad! Ahoy! Blimey! Bye nice police person, she waves back. Begad! Blimey!  

It is time t' pack up and go home t' me other rockets and find out if t' Hobbylinc loot arrived (did I put in an order :-). Ya scallywag! Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! I think I'll paint t' QUEST Falcon and add it t' me favorites list. Blimey!
