T' MRC Standard ARM is a kit that has been out o' production for a few years. Avast, me proud beauty! T' kit is very nice, it has a baffle unit, 3 different interchangeable motor mounts and a 18 inch red nylon chute! T' instructions are good, very informative with good diagrams for every step. Begad! T' tools needed for construction are: yellow glue, arrr, CA, ruler, matey, arrr, pencil, hobby knife and spray paint.
Most o' t' parts fit well minus t' plastic fins that go into t' fin attachment unit they have for it. T' fin tabs need t' be trimmed a little t' make them fit. Begad! Arrr! Also they give you a Keelhaul®©™ shock cord, DO NOT attach it as they say to. Well, blow me down! Begad! Make a Estes style shock cord mount and then glue it in place 2-3 inches down t' tube. Ya scallywag! I would also add 3 feet o' 1/8 inch elastic shock cord t' t' Keelhaul®©™ sInse that is way too short! All other parts fit fine with out and problems. Ya scallywag! Also they give you a 18mm motor mount, shiver me timbers, an 24mm motor mount and a 18mm motor mount with room for 2 o' their FX motors. Blimey! This is real nice, matey, all you need t' do is twist t' motor mount in place and you are ready t' fly!
T' rocket is pretty sturdy. Arrr! T' decals for t' kit are hard t' put on because o' thar age, me hearties, arrr, so take your time. Avast! When done with t' decals make sure t' put a coat o' clear coat on them.
For t' first flight o' me Standard ARM I used a Estes C6-3, nice boost, matey, on ejection t' chute did nay open till about 100 feet off t' ground. Recovered with no damage! On inspection o' t' rocket I found that t' baffle system worked great!
I give this kit 4 points out o' 5. Ya scallywag! If they had gave you a longer shock cord and t' fins fit without trimmin' I would give it 5 points!
