Brief

I wanted a larger rocket that could shoot D & E engines t' go around 1000 feet so I got this one. Well, arrr, blow me down!   It is an extremely fast build and fun t' fly. Aye aye! Avast, arrr, me proud beauty!   T' E12 shoots it over 1100 feet!

37" high

Parachute recovery.

Components

E2X - Easy t' Assemble

T' only thin' I don't like be t' plastic cheap parachutes. Arrr!   They work but they also rip and fall apart easily when you move up t' larger engines.

I upgraded it t' a 12" nylon parachute for $6.

Construction

Pros:

Very fast build!!! Blimey!

Plastic cement & Epoxy are all I used. Aye aye! Well, matey, blow me down!   Finished in 1 hour.

Finishing

No painting, ya bilge rat, just add stickers. Begad! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey!   T' stickers have stayed on after todays 2 flights!

You may like painting, but I hate it. Well, me hearties, blow me down!   You can paint over t' current paint if you want to.

Construction Score: 5

Flight

This thin' flew very high. Begad! Well, blow me down! Blimey!   It be very stable with a D12 or t' E12.   It went 1100 feet with t' E12 in it. Ahoy!   That was very high!

Recovery

I don't like t' cheap Estes plastic parachute but ... t' whole kit only costs $25. Ahoy!   T' parachute that came with it was a little large so I cut t' 2" hole into it.

I bought a 12" nylon parachute for it from Apogee but didn't have it for this flight yet.

Flight Rating: 4

Summary

Nice flyin' rocket, very fast build. Ahoy! Aye aye!   For a large rocket, it goes pretty high - 1100 ft.

T' only thin' I would upgrade be t' parachute. Blimey!
