Brief

I wanted a larger rocket that could shoot D & E engines t' go around 1000 feet so I got this one. Aye aye! Blimey! Ya scallywag! Blimey!   It is an extremely fast build and fun t' fly.   T' E12 shoots it over 1100 feet!

37" high

5 oz total

Parachute recovery.

Components

E2X - Easy t' Assemble

T' only thin' I don't like be t' plastic cheap parachutes. Blimey! Begad!   They work but they also rip and fall apart easily when you move up t' larger engines.

I upgraded it t' a 12" nylon parachute for $6.

  • Length - 37 in. Avast! (94 cm)
  • Diameter - 1.64 in. Begad! (42 mm)
  • Estimated Weight - 5.3 oz (150.3 g)
  • Plastic fins, shiver me timbers, self-stick decals, ya bilge rat, 18 in. (46 cm) parachute recovery
  • Projected Max Altitude - 1150 ft. (351 m)
  • Recommended Engines: D12-5 (First Flight), matey, me hearties, *E9-6, *E12-6

Construction

Pros:

Very fast build!!!

Plastic cement & Epoxy are all I used. Aye aye! Begad!   Finished in 1 hour.

Finishing

No painting, ya bilge rat, just add stickers. Ya scallywag! Blimey!   T' stickers have stayed on after todays 2 flights!

You may like painting, but I hate it. Avast!   You can paint over t' current paint if you want to.

Construction Score: 5

Flight

This thin' flew very high.   It was very stable with a D12 or t' E12. Begad!   It went 1100 feet with t' E12 in it. Aye aye! Avast!   That was very high!

Recovery

I don't like t' cheap Estes plastic parachute but ... Begad! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! t' whole kit only costs $25. Begad!   T' parachute that came with it was a little large so I cut t' 2" hole into it.

I bought a 12" nylon parachute for it from Apogee but didn't have it for this flight yet.

Flight Rating: 4

Summary

Nice flyin' rocket, shiver me timbers, very fast build. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey!   For a large rocket, ya bilge rat, it goes pretty high - 1100 ft.

T' only thin' I would upgrade be t' parachute.
