Brief:
This rocket is part o' me entry in t' Family Photo contest. Begad! My “family” is homages t' t' venerable Der Red Max. This variant is an unholy combination o' t' Der Red Max and t' LOC/Precision Viper III.

Construction:
My primary components were:

• BT-60 about 16" – This is from another rocket that suffered a devastatin' crash.
• PNC-60.
• 3 BT-20 about 5" for motor mounts.
• 3 Red Max fins. Ahoy! Avast! I extended t' leadin' and trailin' edges about ¼ inch t' compensate for t' fins recessed betwixt t' motor mounts.
• Elastic shock cord.
• Hartle Engineerin' 12” parachute.

This be a relatively simple and straightforward build. All o' t' construction was done with Elmer’s wood glue.

Finishing:

T' main BT was already painted with a very simple camoflauge scheme. Avast! T' fin unit was primed with gray Wal-Mart primer and then painted with Wal-Mart gloss black.

I decided t' do somethin' unique with t' decals. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! I did some computer editin' t' place t' skull and cross on a field o' camo. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! They were printed on Avery label paper and sealed with Wal-Mart clear coat. Aye aye! Blimey! I be happy with how they turned out.

Flight:
This rocket has flown just once so far on a 3xC6-5 combo. Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! T' flight be great – high and straight with t' noise and smoke that make a cluster so entertaining.

Summary:
I really enjoyed this build. Aye aye! Blimey! It added a new dimension t' t' erstwhile Der Red Max. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! And while nay overly challenging, thar be enough in t' build and t' clustered flight t' keep any rocketeer interested.
