Parts List:

  • 1 FlisKits Deuce's Wild! kit
  • 1 FlisKits BT-60-18 body tube
  • 1 FlisKits CPL-60-015 Coupler or optional FlisKits BAF-60 baffle kit
  • 1 Estes NC-60 nose cone
  • 1 screw eye
  • 1 stainless steel Chore Boy pot scrubber
  • 2 pieces o' brass tubin' t' fit your launch rod, ~3" long

Construction and Finishing:
Please follow t' instructions included with t' rocket kit with t' followin' changes:

  • Set t' completed motor mount 1/2" deeper in t' bottom o' t' body tube, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, this will give you extra depth to attach inverted Estes nose cone as t' tail cone.
  • Cut t' extra FlisKits BT-60-18 body tube at 14" and use it t' lengthen t' DW body t' 32". Use either a FlisKits coupler or baffle kit t' join t' tubes together. Ahoy! I used t' baffle kit since it also provides a nice, sturdy Keelhaul®©™® cord mount for t' shock cord. Aye aye! Arrr! While buildin' baffles, ya bilge rat, I also cut off about 1/3 o' a Chore Boy stainless steel pot scrubber pab and stuffed it inside t' baffle tube for a little extra protection.
  • (Deuce's Wild) LandsharkMeasure t' lip in t' bottom o' t' motor mount and cut off t' shoulder o' t' Estes nose cone t' fit snugly inside. Begad! Ahoy! If necessary, shiver me timbers, matey, carve out two notches on t' nose cone shoulder t' clear t' motor tubes.
  • Use t' Landshark fin template and cut them out o' t' sheet o' balsa included with t' DW kit. Ahoy! Mark 19.25" from t' front o' t' body tube and install t' three smaller fins evenly spaced around t' body tube. Mark 3/4" from t' body tube/tail cone seam and install t' three larger fins with t' trailin' edge on t' mark. Begad! [Note: You might have t' do a little bit o' sandin' t' get t' fit right betwixt t' fins and t' tail cone.
  • Use t' big screw eye instead o' t' one included for addin' proper nose weight t' compensate for t' additional drag o' six large fins.
  • Install two lengths o' brass tubin' for launch lugs--one underneath t' motor mount and t' other betwixt the forward fins.
  • Prime and paint t' look like your favorite shark.
  • Now go flying! I recommend two C6-3 motors t' start with...
