This was a scratch built design usin' leftover paper tubes from t' local meat department. Begad! Blimey! Only part that wasn't scratch was t' Shockwave nosecone.
T' original Rocksim file is "T' Shockwave" before I decided it would be a theme rocket t' hang in me meat department for t' 4th o' July.
I first designed t' rocket in Rocksim just t' get an idea o' CG and CP and t' determine an appropriate motor. Once I had t' basics, t' actually assembly wasn't too hard. T' nose cone needed little work, just a loop o' webbin' t' attach it. Blimey! Begad! I fiberglassed t' airframe (left over paper tubes aren't particulary strong.
I finished t' rocket with a red, white, and blue theme for t' 4th o' July. Ahoy! I used paintin' tape t' make "torn flames" on t' front and back. Ahoy! Ahoy! I used t' cheapest paint Home Depot sells and it worked great! I did some airbrushin' for t' logo o' t' grocery store logo that I got most o' t' parts from.
I flew this rocket with t' CTI I800 Vmax. Avast, me proud beauty! Wow, what an awesome flight. Arrr! Well, ya bilge rat, blow me down! T' followingis a video o' t' flight at Hellfire 16 out on t' Utah Salt Flat.
My delay be quite a bit too long but everythin' worked great!
